I've already forgotten what we were doing with Isabel in the first campaign, I can't stand these damn elves, ugh, they annoy me!
This is a rather challenging mission. I initially tried to complete it "fairly" (by activating a script when capturing the southern Castle), then I tried to use diplomacy for Agrael, but all of this turned out to be a waste of time and prolonged the mission. In the end, I completed it without capturing the southern Castle in the following way (Veteran difficulty):
- First, I recruited Imps/Devils and immediately headed to Gilraen. He flees almost immediately, and we avoid losses (or minimize them). In the Castle, we recruit a second hero who collects Demons and gives them to Agrael. The additional hero will gather resources and help with transferring reinforcements from the city.
- After garrisoning the Castle, we save and check the skill in the Witch Hut. It is chosen randomly, and we don't need any extra skills.
- Gilraen will appear closer to the end of the fourth week. We have just under a month to capture the mines and resources around the southern Castle. The time is limited, but it is quite enough.
- In the army, we focus on Cerberuses; additionally, we can strengthen ourselves with Succubi – the former attack without retaliation, and the latter are archers. The remaining troops create gates and block the enemy with summoned units, preventing them from approaching. The "Phantom Creation" spell from the previous scenario will be extremely useful – why expose our Cerberuses to danger when we can deal damage with a phantom.
- By the beginning of the fourth week, we move closer to the Phoenixes or Earth Elementals. On the first day, we buy an army, transfer it to Agrael, and defeat the Phoenixes/Elementals (I defeated the Phoenixes).
- We capture the Castle in the northwest. The army there is not too strong, and the enemy will not have time to rebuild.
- By this time, Gilraen, along with another hero, should have already appeared. The Elf will head towards the captured Castle, so we prepare for defense – we rebuild the Castle and replenish combat losses with Elven troops (but we monitor morale). Additionally, we can send a scout towards the northeastern Castle, and distract the second green hero (he will most likely head south to capture the mines) with someone else.
- Having withstood against Gilraen, we buy the remaining troops and move Agrael towards the northeastern Castle. By that time, we will already have expert logistics, and we will be able to travel long distances. Ideally, we should capture the Castle on Sunday to spend the night there and buy troops.
- Now, victory is a matter of time. The green player will not be able to recruit enough troops, and the army he has will not be enough to capture the Castle defended by Agrael. We can leisurely build mage guilds to summon troops and a city portal and level up to the maximum level for the scenario.
