Generally speaking, we usually don't have any restrictions, and I don't know if anyone will insist on them (AC or HW). All restrictions are set on the maps, such as banning the Ring of Permanence, Gloves, Boots, and unwanted skills (stealth, resurrection, and others).
On some maps, there's a long-standing agreement to restart if a Lord starts as the hero when playing as Haven, but this isn't a rule, but rather a habit. In most cases, you can play that way too.

We also don't have any restrictions, so I wouldn't want to change that.

Here is a question. I sometimes participate in Tournaments on HeroesPortal, and those who play there know that there is a limit on building certain buildings. Here is a quote:

I sometimes participate in tournaments on HeroesPortal, and those who play there know that there is a restriction on building certain structures. Here's a quote:

The restrictions are at least strange. I can understand the ban on Grand Magus Necropolis if the game is played on Whirlwinds, not Equilibrium. In Equilibrium, vampires can only be summoned starting from the hero's 20th level, so the ban loses its meaning.

Stealth, Treasure Chamber – these are things that are rarely used because they are absolutely useless. We will still be playing maps of size M (and some S-sized maps with metro) on Exp-Adv difficulty. And on them, rogues can only be used as a kind of sophisticated move to deceive the opponent (e.g., secretly take the capital). L and XL are rarely played online due to the time required for the game. Even on M, it can take up to 10 hours, let alone larger maps.

You can also build a Portal of Summoning. I don't understand why it's banned. In several years of playing, none of the online veterans have found anything supernatural in it. :)

Hmm, I'm still against allowing the portal – it gives the nature faction too much of an advantage, allowing it to recruit units from vampires and Dark Dwarves (i.e., elementals and mantises). This way, you can simply overwhelm the enemy with troops, leaving them no chance of winning. But we could leave the portal as a building required for constructing phoenixes.

In Equilibris, you don't need a portal to build Phoenixes; you need a Conservatory of Life. I also don't understand the restrictions introduced on HeroesPortal:confused:

In principle, both here and on HeroesPortal, people play on "Whirlwinds," and some of the rules are quite fair;) . One thing is for sure, regarding Necromancy.
And in principle, they are not categorical; if both opponents agree, then the restrictions or part of them are lifted :D
