This is the problem with Slavic nations. Everyone else sees close friends or at least neutrals, while we see enemies and an eternal threat...

heh, this isn't just a problem for Slavic nations. It's just that, you know, other European countries (for example) have essentially nothing to lose. Their territories have been stable for centuries... they've already divided the world. We aren't part of that world and most likely never will be. Europe is already united for them (as proven by the Schengen Agreement and the euro), so they might actually consider themselves friends.
And the Chinese have claimed Russian land since time immemorial. By the way, interesting fact: they say there's a proverb among them that everyone who comes from the north is an enemy (because they bring ill intentions). Thus, Russia a priori cannot be their friend.

Personally, I think the Chinese are doing a great job. I welcome any force that can somehow stand up to American ideals of competition and success, without making crazy demands (like the universal introduction of Sharia law), and if that force turns out to be Chinese culture, I will greet them with flags and songs.

They don't really put up much of a fight. As for their internal situation, China is also experiencing a crisis and a reevaluation of values. I would even say a reorientation towards American values, just like everywhere else.

I don't consider myself a racist, but there are a lot of newcomers in my city. I'm not talking about those who come to study or work honestly. There are already plenty of people who cause more trouble or try to sell dubious services. Mostly, this category includes people "living in the south," but there are also more and more Chinese people. This threat is illusory until they reach a "critical mass" and gain voting rights.

In reality, this kind of fear is simply called xenophobia. I've communicated with some newcomers, and they turned out to be quite decent people, while people from my own city are just drunkards and thugs.

I think this is all some kind of insidious plan to conquer our planet by populating it with Chinese people. They are EVERYWHERE. We are facing destruction at their hands. The attack will begin soon. Everyone needs to prepare. That's the only way we can save ourselves.

I hope this is a joke. Just imagine how many Russians live in different countries around the world. We are everywhere :) And in some places, the Chinese simply don't feel comfortable: in Russia, I have hardly seen any Chinese people in the European part (maybe there are some, but very few, there are more black people in Moscow), although it is clear that they are in the Far East, but this is normal, given that we border them. There are many Chinese people in America, but there are also many Russians there. + the Chinese religion is quite peaceful, and their culture is ancient: historically, they simply cannot be aggressive invaders. So all accusations against them are meaningless.
Oh yes, I remembered: we have a Chinese student at our institute. But that doesn't count: Russians also study in China, for example, my cousin.

"Myth" - Myth. Does the Russian people pay tribute to and humiliate themselves before the Chinese? No. Not to them. Therefore, there is no threat from them. On the contrary, they are one of the options for salvation. If they rule, they will not allow anyone to humiliate the Russians. I love Putin for giving two islands to China. At least there will be order on two former Russian islands)))
