WEAPONS.
Weapons are any device designed to kill living beings. This topic discusses the weapons of KOTOR. And in general, all weapons from the "galaxy far, far away."

Blades
The simplest and cheapest weapon. As a rule, it is an acutely sharpened strip of steel on a handle made of hard, non-slip material. It is only suitable for street brawls because, unlike Vibroblades, it breaks when colliding with a laser beam. On the other hand, some blade models are convenient to throw, and they are also easy to use in everyday life.
Verdict: more like household equipment than a weapon. Not suitable for combat on the planet's surface (where blasters can be safely used) and against Jedi, Sith, and Dathomirian witches.

Powder Weapons
This is the first step for intelligent beings towards energy weapons. To this day, it remains popular due to its low cost and high efficiency, as well as safety during boarding operations on spaceships. The disadvantages include the low rate of fire and projectile speed, as well as noise and light effects.
Verdict: ideal weapon for space boarding and street fighting. Against opponents such as Droidekas or Rancor, one can only hope for a miracle.

Lightsaber


Essentially a blade of pure energy capable of cutting through almost anything, the lightsaber is a noble and powerful weapon, the mastery of which Jedi Knights have honed over thousands of years.

Although each lightsaber is unique, the basic design remains the same. The hilt, 24 to 30 centimeters long, houses the energy cell, as well as one or more crystals – rarely more than three – designed to focus the energy into a narrow blade of light. The color of the blade depends on the nature of the crystal, and while the length of a lightsaber with a single crystal always remains constant, in models equipped with multiple crystals, the length of the blade can be adjusted using a device that changes the refraction pattern of the beam between

Cortosis blades
Extremely rare and expensive blades forged from the mineral cortosis, mined in the closed mines of some planets. Cortosis has the property of deactivating a lightsaber - a strike of a cortosis blade against a lightsaber blade completely discharges the lightsaber and renders it useless for several minutes, giving an advantage over an unarmed Jedi. This is the only distinctive advantage of cortosis blades; otherwise, they remain identical to vibroblades.

Emit carbonite thrower
Simply put, a freezer is a device originally used for work in mines or at some factories. The Emit carbonite thrower and the carbonite thrower (a more powerful version) are installed on droids and have limited consumption – after several shots, the charge of the carbonite thrower will be depleted, and the weapon will become useless until it is recharged with the necessary liquid. The carbonite thrower emits a focused beam of hydrogen that can freeze an enemy for a short time, immobilizing it. This weapon has a small range and may not affect a well-trained Jedi. Carbonite throwers have found widespread but illegal use in military applications and can be installed instead of weapons on mining droids or on the wrists of NK models as additional weapons. However, talented designers can come up with something for themselves.

Energy Whip (Laser Whip)
Essentially an analogue of the Lightsaber. However, the Energy Whip does not have a rigid and unchanging form; it is flexible (how the Dathomirian witches achieved this, no one knows...). Invented on Dathomir, it serves as a symbol of authority and power among the Dathomirian Nightsisters (Dathomirian Witches) — a sect that essentially follows the path of the Sith, but with slight modifications. It should also be noted that only women (girls) can undergo training on Dathomir, as the Clans of Dathomirian Witches consist only of women and, for unknown reasons, men are not admitted; consequently, such a whip can only be passed into the hands of a woman.

Vibroblade
A mid-tier weapon that is essentially the only melee weapon suitable for fighting Jedi. In essence, it is the same blade, but with a vibration generator built into the handle and a special coating applied. They are made from steel, Ferrum-456, Cortosis, and steel alloys.
