The November map-making contest for 5 heroes kicks off under the code name "November Battle. 2020". The theme of the contest is designing a map of 96×96 in the lava fields. Everyone should try their hand, but the most important thing will be not skill, but imagination! Anyone can win, so don't hesitate to try! Information for participants: 1.1. The start time is November 14, 12:00 GMT (15:00 Moscow time), and the end time is December 12, 16:00 GMT (19:00 Moscow time). Anyone can participate. Participants create a 96×96 map in the style of demon territories in any way they like. Any objects can be used, including those imported with mods. It is not necessary to place neutral creatures, mines, and resources on the map if the design does not require it. Only the design is evaluated. Works should be sent within the specified time to the email address alhottabych@yandex.ru. All submitted maps will be checked for plagiarism. 1.2. It is not necessary to add a description, title, etc. to the maps if the design does not require it. Information for judges: 2. The judging panel consists of: }{0TT@6b)4, also the organizer, Eduard Richter, Andrey Osetrova, MasteR, Ment. The judging panel is asked to provide (if not already provided) the organizer (}{0TT@6b)4) with an email address to which the works will be distributed, via the personal message system on our forum or in the VK group. You can also express your desire to join the judging panel in the same way (don't forget to indicate your email). Evaluation criteria: 3.1. Each map is evaluated on a ten-point scale, with a maximum of one decimal place, by each of the judges. The highest and lowest scores (depending on the number of active judges) will be discarded. To avoid personal bias, neither the judges will know whose work they are evaluating, nor the participants will know who and how evaluated their map. The average of the judges' scores is the overall score for the map. 3.2. The map with the highest overall score wins the contest. In case of a dispute, a public vote will be held (on our forum and in the VK group). Timing: 4. You can submit a map to the contest during the specified time. If the organizer receives the work at other times without any explanation, the map will not be accepted for the contest. After the specified time, all submitted maps will be distributed to the judges, after which the works will be evaluated for some time. After the evaluation is completed, all works with the assigned scores will be returned to the organizer, and the winners will be announced. Disputed cases, acceptance of works, and other: 5.1. The winning map will be made publicly available; if you are against your creation being made public in case of victory, inform the organizer about this when submitting the map. 5.2. If you notice that the winning map violates the plagiarism rule, inform the organizer, providing evidence. If the information is confirmed, the winner will be re-determined. 5.3. If any of the judges become inactive, the scores of the works they have already evaluated will be removed from the calculation of the overall score for the maps. 5.4. All maps will be checked for plagiarism and creation date. Works suspected of plagiarism will not be accepted for the contest. Works created before 2017 will not be accepted for the contest. 5.5. All questions should be asked personally to the organizer. Awards: 6. The author of the map that wins the contest can, at his discretion, indicate to the organizer the nickname of his account on our forum (in this case, he will be awarded a winner's medal in his forum profile). Otherwise, the winner will receive a personalized winner's certificate for printing and a place on the wall of fame of our VK group.

Yay, I made it into the top three out of four participants! 🤡 Vladik is way ahead, with no chance of recovery. It would be interesting to see this creation! 👀 And I'm even glad that my piece, which took, let's say, 12 man-hours to create, didn't win; it would be embarrassing, hehe. I wish all the other hard workers good luck in the next contests. And in general, more events like this would be great! It's just pure fun. And it would be interesting to see the "competitors" and their work. 😎 And it would also be interesting to see what scores everyone gave! But that's up to the organizers to decide. Once again, I wish that there would be less negativity, more events, and that the rewards could be more tangible. 😜

Yes, the contest was unusual. There were more judges than maps, which is, of course, a funny detail. )))
