A complete misunderstanding about me.
Basically, Modkill turned out to be quite dense. I just didn't understand the line between the first time I posted a link to a phrase from the previous Mafia game and received a warning in a private message, and the second time, when I only added the word "sure" + a link and received a modkill.
Like, if I had written this manually, would I have also received a modkill? Maybe it's just that Tox and Master have different levels of vigilance on this issue, but seeing 0 reaction to the phrases "I'm peaceful" and a modkill for "I'm possibly peaceful" is very strange to me.
No, the warning was for this post:
or I'm just tired at work, or the role is boring and doesn't provide information for manipulation, or the moon is in the wrong phase.
And here's the modkill for being confident in my role as the city's savior.
And here's the modkill for being so confident in his role as the city's savior.
Firstly, nothing was said about saving the city specifically.
Secondly, if I had written "possibly confident," would that have been within the bounds of decency?
Thirdly, I still haven't seen a modkill for macca's phrase, "I am the city."

Gumer, have you decided to completely confuse Krabby?
Only by 146%, or maybe even 300%... I'm NOT SURE
Firstly, it didn't say anything about a savior of the city specifically.
Secondly, if I wrote "possibly confident," would that be within the bounds of decency?
Thirdly, I still didn't see a modkill for the phrase "I am the city" by macca.
))
Okay, I'll explain the difference. The link to the previous topic and that message is a strong hint that your current role corresponds to the role in that game or is similar to it. Who fits the role of savior? Cliff, Salzman, Lars. The phrase "I am the city" is abstract, doesn't serve as a hint for any role, and doesn't contradict the rules of the game.

If there are too obvious hints about hidden information (even if there isn't any), the player may be subject to sanctions in the form of a warning, reduction of role features and actions, or a modkill.

Okay, I suggest we close this topic. I'll just keep this in mind for the future, and that's all.
Sky, may I ask why you decided not to eliminate anyone right away?
Live streaming of their own murder. They broadcast live. If they die during the current night, the murderer's nickname is published in the newspaper.
I realized you were Janet almost immediately and consciously let you be eliminated so that a poll wouldn't be directed at me and my killing Night Detective ability wouldn't be redirected to you.
Tox, when a participant joins a game, they automatically agree to its rules, even if they haven't read them. Specifically, in this game, one of the rules states: By violating even one of the accepted rules (in this case, you intended to, and Gumer actually violated it), you show disrespect to all participants in the process, i.e., to the GM and the players. And personally, as a player (not as a Mafia member who supposedly won and should be happy, ignoring the inappropriate actions of others because they lost), I find this kind of behavior extremely unpleasant.
There is a format where players are explicitly allowed to reveal their own or others' roles, for which they usually face certain consequences in the form of execution/killing, rather than a modkill. But such things are agreed upon in advance as rules, and this is a perfectly acceptable format if everyone agrees to it before the game starts. If, however, the game clearly states that revealing roles and directly hinting at them is not allowed, then please adhere to that, and don't start blackmailing players with the threat of revealing your role and spilling all the information you've gathered in the first two nights, or simply reveal your role because you're offended by the votes against you.
In short, about the game mechanics. The excessive number of types of protections and killings, where you constantly have to play a guessing game and end up not knowing anything, is unnecessary because it further confuses the players and hinders all sides.
I would also like to note that the Charlie role's mechanics are quite interesting in themselves, but not suitable for a town role. Rather, such a Neutral role could be given to a serial killer as an addition to their killing ability, so they can sow chaos and confusion. They don't care whether a town member is executed because of this switch or whether the Mafia misses a kill. But all of this is, of course, just my opinion (as is the case with the words addressed to Tox above).

And yes, Tox, so you understand, I'm not just being sarcastic about the excessively immature behavior. This isn't the first time I've criticized you for this behavior; if you've forgotten, we've already discussed this in the game with the Adept, when I wrote to you in a private message that you shouldn't do this and why. But that was eight years ago, and you were a teenager, so all your actions could simply be attributed to your age. But now you're a grown man, and it turns out that little has changed in 8 years. Except that you've learned to stop before revealing your role when you're asked to stop in the main chat and by the GM in a private message before it's too late.
I've already said that I was wrong, and I've apologized.
And just to be clear, my motive for this action was anything but disrespect towards my opponents. I respect everyone and don't think that violating the rules needs to be so heavily moralized. It's just a common game move, expensive in all senses, but still an existing option.
BUT! Despite this, if the general consensus of the community here is that this is very inappropriate, then it seems that it is indeed wrong to do it.
Thank you all
In short, about the game mechanics. The overabundance of defense and attack types, where you constantly have to play a guessing game, is unnecessary because it further confuses players and hinders all sides.

People are willing to endure "chaos and discord," use a psychological "guessing game" during executions, but they falter before just two types of defenses and attacks... My sanity is running out. Now, I'm going to lose it...
Someone was arguing that it wasn't in my best interest to answer "yes" to the question about playing solo, and that I would have kept more city roles for myself or something, and wouldn't have just answered based on my preference... I answered based on my preference))) The only one who managed to explain this motivation was Alex. (just keeping you updated)
Congratulations to the Mafia!)) You guys were great!))
For me, Neyra was almost peaceful until the very end, so peaceful that I initially envisioned her in the roles of Dave, then Cliff, and finally, with some sadness, I wondered how to fit both you and Graf into the role of the Doctor. In the end, you weren't Mafia. Strong daytime play, good reasoning, and a very confusing execution of Fragment. It was fantastic!))
I identified Lynx through a check, and with the execution (vote) of Humer, I marked him as a serial killer. Before that, you were also peaceful in my mind and occupied the role of Cliff in my imaginary "drug addict" table. And then doubts started to creep in...
Fragment, it's a shame that things turned out that way on the third day. I executed you more based on the psychology of Graf and the information conveyed through the GM. It seemed quite strange and like a typical Mafia move at the time. Get well soon and come play again!)
The beginning of the game was quite strange for me. I initially hesitated to join, anticipating that I wouldn't be able to play, but then the remaining player from the very beginning convinced me :D
And it turned out that during the days when the game had a daytime phase, I was the busiest. While reading on my phone was quite convenient, writing something... not so much :( The message window interface on the forum constantly "pulled" the screen "down," all codes had to be typed manually, and the formatting was reset when the window loaded. I even considered sending messages first and then formatting them :D (Actually, I just ran out of tea and spent some time looking for a new supply).
considering that during the game, we got the impression that your thoughts and actions were guided by the late Tox.
Unfortunately or fortunately, Tox and I have known each other for almost 10 years, and I don't deny that I may have adopted some of his ways of thinking and started to anticipate some of his actions. As far as I remember, we didn't communicate during the game days.
And that's why I understood that he was upset for a reason... But by the time my thoughts were formed and I was ready to write them down, the day was already over.
I don't understand where I revealed myself as Cliff :(
I was upset by the modkill of Humer. I have very little information about him, and now I'm starting to understand! And... that's it :(
And the main thing is that it wasn't intentional!
The game encounters were fun – my encounter with Yashur (I wonder if Catherine II is involved here?) and our Morneo and Toxetta – the first two days with the neutrals and the offer of an alliance were great! <3
Nights 5 and 6 were amazing! Sky, I'm a little embarrassed in front of you, the Mafia helped kill Yashur, and Revan and I interfered!)
And the most annoying thing is that you try to be peaceful, think about something, write something, and show your table! But you're still seen as gray and a "drug addict" with tea :D You need to try harder :D or embrace the "drug addict" persona more and promote tea to the masses xD
And Sky is always ambiguous, but no one seems to mind...
Thank you all for the game! Master, thank you so much for being the GM!)))
I'll go and wait for the next game!)
The most annoying thing is that you try to be peaceful, think about something, write something, and show off your table! But you're still just gray and drinking some weird teaYou need to try harder
or get even more into the tea and promote it to the masses xD
And indirectly, you did well, just not for the right team... but what difference does it make? We're pacifist ghosts.
No one killed you; you just couldn't handle this subdued atmosphere. You just slipped.
And the city has been addicted for the second game already
That's why I love the HW mafia)
Nobody killed you, you just couldn't handle this dampened atmosphere.
Yeah) Then they even accepted us as their own in the hospital, giving everyone a bed and a blanket, and they even handed me a little teapot <3 Master, thank you for the literary part, all your newspapers are just lovely ^^ (But I still try not to look at the Chief Physician's picture at night)
In the end, maybe it really was just a dream?
In reality, I really miscalculated. Fearing a modkill (I even have an ai-ai-ai from the Master), I left very little and vague info about my checks, I confess this. But as for me, I gave enough hints, voluntary and involuntary, that I was Lars (I realized this especially after the final newspaper... .______. Master, forgive me!). And with this IQ status, I was also afraid that by using certain images, I might accidentally offend someone. If I did offend anyone, sorry, I didn't do it on purpose... Next time, if I'm lucky, I'll try to be bolder and more slippery. But then the probability that the party won't understand me might increase... But then I can say after the log, "see, you were reading me with your fingers crossed, and I told you" xD

We won and we won, why whine about it? On the contrary, two Adeptuses would have been maximally beneficial for you. X)
(Yes, I couldn't not comment on this)
Tox, my question might seem strange to you, but do you understand why the mafia doesn't kill strong players on the first moves?
Maybe, of course, this only happens in my ideal world.
But everyone wants a fair victory. Without "oh, some people accidentally modkilled here, let's mark that as a plus for us." In some way, yes, it really is a plus. But in another way, this plus leaves quite a bad aftertaste. Yes, it's done. But you have nothing to do with it. Your plans collapsed, some role dropped out without an execution, without discussion and info from it. You didn't push through this execution psychologically, like the execution of an inactive player. You didn't turn someone's arguments against someone else. You didn't figure out someone's role and you're not guessing if the opponents will understand or not? Will they start defending them as one of their own, as someone who may be weaker, but, even in theory, useful? Will they dispute your point of view or follow you? You aren't guessing whether the night kill will go through or not? Did you guess the role? Did you predict the action?
You didn't just sit quietly in semi-afk, reading the thread. You didn't rely on allies. This is not your victory, not your collective victory.
Someone in the thread simply gave up. They didn't accept defeat; they specifically gave up, refusing to fight. And it doesn't matter why.
In our case, as for me, the phrase sounded like "You don't understand me, keep playing without me. I'll be back in the next game, and meanwhile I was an Adeptus, do whatever the ***** you want"
No emotions, no drive, no expectations. There is only emptiness and lack of understanding. And the question "What do you mean? How did it happen?!"
The result is there, but the emotions are wrong. And it seems to me that most of us gathered here far from just for the sake of the result.
Gumer, this does not apply to you. There (I hope) was still a joke. One that went a bit too far, but had sad consequences)
Next time everything will be fine, let's keep playing))

Sorry, I wrote mostly based on what I read only this morning and only now finished reading the thread "to the end". Tox, I see that you consider the Adeptus a last resort and not entirely acceptable within the framework of this forum, plus, as a repeated participant in IRL mafias, I understand this desire and temptation to reveal yourself and reveal your info. Only there are different rules and not all of them will work in the forum format and a 24-hour day.
Let's hope that everything will be fine moving forward, and there will be no more such conflicts :)
Yashchur - negative
I actually hinted at my info to you (in response to your question!), expressing it in almost plain text, but it seems only Yashchur understood it..
And B) I was told in plain text to forbid mentioning at all that there is such a role as Charlie in the game.
I'm not sure that after this, even I, who fiercely disapprove of Adeptuses, wouldn't have "activated him." I understand the ban on decrypting the survey, but forbidding pointing out the contents of the setting is a total overkill in my opinion...
I might be wrong, but Tox repeatedly suggested we take 10 minutes out of 24 hours (even if out of 4) and carefully read the setting. Unfortunately, we all misunderstood him and diligently skipped Charlie's ND, as we most likely did this within the survey
So it's hard to blame the Master for this, rather our own lack of attentiveness.
P.S. Neyra, Lynx, come back to us when you've rested. It's great with you))
P.P.S. Lynx, I don't know why some ggwp upset you so much and where you even found it, but you played the last day magically! Forget about everyone, and come play :3
