3. The tournament consists of three stages:
- group stage;
- play-in stage;
- playoff stage.
COLOR CHOICE: one of the following options:
- by mutual agreement of the players;
- using a draw;
- or the color is determined by the tournament judge.
TEMPLATE CHOICE: random. List of templates for map generation: crown, letos, m3, mask, labyrinth, rainbow, spider, sun.
FACTION CHOICE: random
Group stage.
Groups are formed randomly based on an equal number of players in each group (or +1 in one of the groups) via a draw. Depending on their number, tournament participants are divided by skill into several baskets of 4 participants to form groups.
1st basket: Will, dmitrik, ekzekut, sir_moz
2nd basket: Stefandmy, s_e_r_e_g_a, Dexterwar, dwp1970
3rd basket: BOLIVAR, alex_nv, KillAndAction, byterbrod
4th basket: Letos666, flate, Evgenfit, KIR9XMI
The draw for each basket takes place separately: first the first basket, then the second, then the third, and so on. Each player must play 2 games with every player in their group. In the second game, participants switch colors. It is possible to play ahead if opponents are available.
Those who take 1st place in each group at the end of the group stage advance directly to the playoff stage.
Those who take 2nd and 3rd places move to the play-in stage.
Games not confirmed by the end of the group stage are considered unplayed, and no points are awarded for them.
Play-in stage.
Pairs at this stage are determined via a draw: players who took 2nd place in their group against players who took 3rd place in their group, provided that players from the same group do not play again.
The game is played up to 2 wins, and the player who took 2nd place in the group stage has an advantage of 1-0 at the start of the play-in games. That is, a player who took 2nd place in their group only needs to achieve 1 victory over the player who took 3rd place. A player who took 3rd place in their group must achieve 2 victories over the player who took 2nd place.
Playoff stage.
Pairs for the quarterfinals and semifinals are formed randomly via a draw. Finalists are determined by the results of the semifinals. Throughout the playoff stage, games are played according to a bO3 scheme.
The following rules must be strictly observed during the play-in and playoff stages.
Every Friday, a draw for upcoming games is held. Before each game, from Saturday to Sunday, each tournament participant must provide information to the judge:
- either on the possible date and time of the game;
- or on the already agreed date and time of the game with a specific player; the 2nd player in that pair must confirm this information.
The judge posts information about the dates and times of games between specific players in the tournament thread or in Discord on the HeroesWorldTE server in the "#новости-и-объявления" channel. In the absence of information regarding a possible date and time or an agreed game, the judge independently decides on the date and time for those specific players.
Players are required to start the game at the appointed date and time. If a player/players fail to appear for the game within 1 hour of the scheduled start, he/they shall be considered absent, and a technical defeat is awarded. Postponing an ALREADY STARTED GAME to another date and time is permitted, but only within the current round period.
If the game has not been played by Saturday of the current week, the judge appoints an ODD for Saturday or Sunday of the current week, taking into account information received from players regarding the ODD date and time. In the absence of such information, the judge independently decides on the date (Saturday or Sunday of the current week) and time of the ODD.
If opponents were unable to finish the game (I.E., THERE IS NO CONFIRMED GAME REPORT IN THIS THREAD), the judge will decide the result based on information received from the opponents about said game.
4. The use of any bugs, undocumented features, cheat codes, as well as unofficial programs and modifications is prohibited, except for the TE mod itself (and software creating virtual networks).
5. In case of connection loss or a game crash, the last autosave is loaded; players are required to repeat all their moves exactly up to the moment of disconnection or crash. If the same occurs on the first day of the game, heroes are randomly assigned again.
6. In battles between players, a stalemate may occur (where neither player can win). In this situation, the attacking side must retreat or surrender (at their discretion). If the Shackles of War artifact is involved in the battle, then upon a stalemate, the battle should be finished in AutoCombat mode.
7. For each game with every opponent, each player has the right to 1 restart with map regeneration (templates and factions are random) no later than the third day of the first week of the first month. The end of the day is considered the pressing of the turn-pass button, regardless of whether the opponent has finished their current turn or not. Generating all 3 maps before starting the game is not mandatory: generate the first one, and then each subsequent one only after a player's rest.
Simultaneous turn disconnection or desync in week 1 - technical restart (except cases where both players are ready to continue).
Simultaneous turn disconnection in week 2 and later - game continues (except cases where both players are ready to start over)
8. "Red-rush" is prohibited, meaning an attack by the red player on the first day of the week with purchased growth (the red player may attack on the first day, but without purchasing growth).
9. Joining neutrals is prohibited. As an exception, joined units can be taken to be sacrificed in a pit or sold at the market, but not put into battle. Goblins who join the army after "Betrayal" triggers may remain in the army.
10. It is prohibited to use the same-turn spell "Astral Gates" to jump from any zone into an opponent's starting zone if the connecting portal/garrison has not been breached. It is also prohibited to use "Astral Gates" to jump into an opponent's adjacent zone and enter their starting zone in the same turn.
11. Pressing wait on Krag's first strike in battles with opponent heroes is prohibited; it is permitted against neutrals.
12. One point is awarded for victory in each individual game.
13. When determining a player's position in the tournament table in case of equal points, the following criteria apply:
- Berger coefficient (a 1-0 score is equated to a 2-0 score);
- result of head-to-head encounter;
- number of wins;
- number of draws;
- number of losses;
- tie-breaker game.
A tie-breaker game is conducted between opponents according to the general tournament rule.
COLOR CHOICE: one of the following options:
- by mutual agreement of the players;
- using a draw;
- or the color is determined by the tournament judge.
TEMPLATE CHOICE: random. List of templates for map generation: crown, letos, m3, mask, labyrinth, rainbow, spider, sun.
FACTION CHOICE: random.
14. Attention! LOADS are PROHIBITED in this tournament!!
Exception: a mutual agreement on the number of loads has been reached by both players. If, despite the agreement on the number of loads, players have disagreements about the outcome (victory/defeat) due to loads, the tournament judge reserves the right to decide the outcome of the game.
