The match wasn't exciting.
The old rule, repeatedly confirmed in practice, proved true once again – those who excelled on their way to the final don't give their all in the decisive moment.

The media and online platforms are already discussing three refereeing errors in one episode involving the Argentine physical education teacher! The French simply bought the Croatians and gave Luka Modrić a consolation prize; that's why they're already preparing to sell jerseys with a rooster and 2 (TWO) stars in France! It's all about money, and there's no fair play!

I'm feeling quite sentimental today. I want to say a few words about the contest winner. He doesn't know me, but I've heard about him for a very long time. Back in the early 2000s, when I didn't have a proper internet connection and only played Heroes against the computer, a friend brought me text files from the FidoNet conference (it was a network, a substitute for the internet, few people remember it now). They contained reports from St. Petersburg championships in Heroes by someone called Lord Maniac (aka Vitaly Nesterenko, by the way, where is he now?). He organized tournaments in clubs, judged them himself, and wrote detailed reports on each game. Back then, they played with 4-minute timer fixes, and random maps were considered the domain of noobs and unintelligent players (:-)), but that's not important now. So, the constant hero in those reports was "Lord Antal" (that's what Maniac called him). He was a multiple-time winner. What a surprise it was for me, after so many years, to end up on the Heroes Community Vault and find out that it's HIM! So, Antal is not just the winner of the prediction contest for me; if Gomunguls and FTS are today's Messi and Ronaldo in Heroes, then Antal is Pelé! :)

As far as I know, he is alive and well. He even came to the CIS tournament in Minsk and, as far as I know, wanted to go to Chisinau, but that's not certain.

It's not for nothing that I copied his result, even though it wasn't successful that time.

I've never participated in this kind of prediction before; it seemed not that difficult. In reality, it's hard to guess. The only thing I usually did was watch football and root for the weaker team, enjoying the game itself. Having your own prediction takes away the usual enjoyment of watching; the result puts a little pressure on you.

Antal is a legend, not just for me, congratulations!! It's funny, but Russia, after the current World Cup, is at a decent level if you compare it to the Heroes rating - it plays at the level of LeBron, Yara. https://www.eloratings.net/2018_World_Cup_graph And Caliban, for example, is like Denmark - he had a +150 increase in a year. In general, it's interesting to observe the graph over time for different teams, in comparison to each other.

Otherwise, my wife and I spent all of 2019 watching your streams while I work, and someone is playing horse games on my laptop.
