I remember that back in the Heroes II days, there was a practice where a pair would generate a map and send it to a neutral observer to check with cheats enabled – to see if it was generated correctly. I myself acted as this observer a couple of times. And after the check, they would discard it. Why not? The Heroes II community always stood out for its maximum flexibility in finding solutions to problems. (Of course, it would be nice to have a "mirror map" template in the pool – the best of the existing ones).
Kostya is the king of comments) 5 people are "for" adding a mirror (even though 2 of them are not registered for the tournament), 2 are for diamond, and 1 is for HL+U. The option of checking the map generation before the game can be considered. I will change the CM to a mirror, without reducing the pool of templates. There should be fans of mininoasty and panic:smile04:
There’s no point in using Panic anywhere. Replace the Panic skill with Mirror Image, and Panic with Diamond Skin, and you’ll have a decent set of skills.
basically, as always, we'll agree with the opponent on what we want to play)
Exactly! We just need to decide on a few details: do we close registration at 16 players and play a full double elimination, or do we register more than 16 and play a Swiss tournament until 2 losses? There's a problem with the Swiss format in determining 2nd and 3rd place, as the Buchholz and other coefficients don't always help.
