a state of complete burnout: no thoughts, no emotions, no desires.

I experienced this at the end of one of the evenings; I could sit for hours in any position and stare at one point. My thoughts were rare memories of the busy day, or nothing at all. However, due to circumstances, it was impossible to fall asleep, so I ended up meditating for a long time until I passed out.
