Well, the topic is still about Barbarians, right? :) Computer-controlled units are rarely strong, only at the beginning; later, when the hero is level 15-20, almost any computer-controlled army can be easily defeated while relaxing with a cup of coffee and a cookie.
Added after 58 seconds KENNU, the advantage of Barbarians is - NUMBER! That's their main plus.

I don't particularly like the Barbarians either (I used to dislike them even more), but that doesn't negate their fairly good abilities. Objectively, they have them. The problem is that I don't find it interesting to play as them. Because the gameplay is somewhat linear and monotonous. A Barbarian is essentially a lone wolf. And in battle, they are monotonous. I only see one solution – to level up Scouting, Tactics, or Nobility.

I see only one option here.... Usually, my hero starts by creating a defensive front.... luckily, it's not a problem to upgrade armor first... and the hero is enough for defense.... and then :)))))
