This thread is created to gauge interest in hosting CIS-2017 in the city of Korolev. If this option proves interesting to the community, the post will be updated.

Regarding Alex, I deeply respect him as a friend and as an organizer! I think Volgograd was the best CIS event I've attended and heard about! Alex knows what he's talking about and what he's doing! The issue isn't with him. The issue is with the cities hosting the event. There hasn't been a CIS event in the Moscow region yet. But it's up to the community to decide. If it's Volgograd for the second time (and the third, and the fourth, and...) then we'll go there.

On average, even calculating for 40 people, and with an average investment of 20,000-25,000 rubles per person for travel, accommodation, food, and conference expenses, that's at least a million rubles. I'm confident that with such funds and a good team of organizers, even in these difficult times, something decent can be done in any city in our country.

No, not anymore; it's not in demand. Most people prefer to relax in gazebos in nature and do some sports on-site. But if you come and want to go for a bike ride in the morning, we'll have a bike for you! )

In general, hosting the CIS championship in the center of the capital should be as convenient as possible for everyone, in my opinion, because it is much easier, cheaper, and without transfers to get to the capital (Korolev is about 20 km from Moscow, just so you know).
