If you liked something you HEARD on TV, why not? If you happened to come across a song on TV/radio and could have switched channels, but didn't, then it's likely you liked it and were actually listening. It just happened to be at a random time, rather than by your choice.

I don't have good speakers right now, and the sound quality is terrible. But I know some of these songs by heart anyway.

Magic and Sword - 5, a good song, but not the best, from a great rock opera. But seriously, is it just nostalgia? I could just as easily send something by Mozart and say, "I listened to this in my first or second year of university, nostalgia!"
Along comes Mary - 3, nothing special. Sorry.
Relax and smile - 5, quite nice.
Crucify - 4, I don't like this style of performance. And I rarely like female vocals in general. And there's no nostalgia associated with it, sorry. Although, I wouldn't say that the singer is bad.
Ring Ring - 6, not the most famous ABBA song for me. I gave it a higher rating more for the nostalgia associated with the band. Overall, it's okay, and I'm not too upset that I listened to it to the end.
Bird - 5, I've never been a big fan. I would have given it a lower rating. But it was part of my childhood, so there's some nostalgia there. And it's not the worst song by Gubin.
Proper Education - 5, in my school years, there were music channels that I even watched. This song was on there. If it were a version by Pink Floyd, it would have gotten a 10. I don't like this kind of club music.
Whenever, Wherever - 10, VEREVER, VEREVER! I loved this song when I was a kid. And it's still pretty good. And Shakira, with her hips *___*
Californication - 10, Arec is great! This is also a combination of nostalgia and quality. And it reminded me of a cool dream I had recently!
A Perfect Circle - 6, not nostalgic for me at all. But overall, it's not bad. It's quite pleasant, perfect for the mood.
Rosenrot - 6, not the best song by the band. I gave it a higher rating for nostalgia. I might have given some of their other songs a 10. But at the second minute, you can hear the word "otosrus," so I added one point for that.
Press the button - 4, and even then, I didn't really like it.
The Kids Aren't Alright - 8, not bad. They had better tracks. But I'm being picky, the main thing is that it's nostalgic.
Disco Band - 5, it's okay. What was that guy in yellow so high on? I want to get high like that too.

Actually, I could have intuitively chosen something from memory for this contest. But I couldn't decide between a few options. And with my current capabilities, it's difficult to find a track in good quality. And why change myself if I haven't submitted anything all this time?

when I was choosing a song for the nostalgia theme, I had two thoughts:
1. really? is this what I used to listen to?
2. oh! why haven't I listened to this in a long time, I should add it to my playlist.

I had a hard time choosing something that I didn't want to add to my playlist, but also didn't cause much surprise, like how could I have listened to it.

I feel like when I'm voting, I'll have the same thoughts again. )

By the way, I really have the cheapest, portable headphones. So sorry if the quality of my music doesn't suit anyone.

Between the ages of 8 and 10, I intensely disliked everything related to music, but then I started listening to ABBA, which I still listen to today. In general, I stopped listening to the music I used to enjoy about five years ago, when I heard what real metal should sound like.

I agree, especially since when I was 10, I didn't have a choice of what to listen to - no player, no computer, the TV was controlled by my parents, no radio, and I wasn't interested in music at that age. I could, of course, send in Pugacheva, whom my mother listened to (and, by force, I did too), but what's the point? I don't have any nostalgia for her, or anything. The song I submitted fits the criteria of the contest and at the same time evokes so many memories that I can hardly imagine a more suitable candidate for the contest.

Aretz created negative publicity for the contest, and no one dared to listen.

I deliberately avoided songs that blasted from every speaker during my music allergy phase, and instead chose what opened the magical world of metal to me. What a blessing that I later listened to Iron Maiden and was able to forget it all like a bad dream.
Alright, let's go. Gotta have something to rock out to while I work on the pic for HeroesWorld.

1. Эпидемия - Магия и Меч - 5. My ears certainly didn't thank me, but personally this is very nostalgic, evokes a lot of emotions and associations. Once again, I apologize for having to torment you with this nightmare, but I had no choice, and I wanted to participate in the contest. By the way, as far as I remember, my first manuscript was also in terribly poor quality, and it's quite possible that a decent version was never provided.
2. Bloodhound Gang - Along Comes Mary - 7. It's catchy in places, but so-so, average.
3. Relax and Smile - 9. I relaxed, smiled, and I propose making this song the official anthem of HeroesWorld. I even checked out the music video, which is unusual for me.
4. Tori Amos - Crucify - 6. Pleasant, but just kind of meh.
5. ABBA - Ring Ring - 10. Cool song, the English version is in my playlist. The German one isn't fundamentally different, but they mostly played in English. This is the very band that cured me of my music allergy.

7. Eric Prydz VS Pink Floyd - Proper Education - 9. I really like the original (one of the three and a half Floyd songs that I actually liked at all), minus one point because it's not that.
8. Shakira - Whenever, Wherever - 9. Hello, another hit from every speaker. It triggered some certain cool random associations.
9. Red Hot Chili Peppers - Californication - 10. FIRST BORN UNICORN, HARD CORE SOFT PORN. I couldn't rate it lower, even though I don't really like the song itself. But it definitely hit me with nostalgia for the time when Arz had porn with unicorns in his signature.
10. The Noose - A Perfect Circle - 6. Something strange.
11. Rammstein - Rosenrot - 9. My friend actually loved them back when I was in school. So it's nostalgic. Sounds fine to the ear too, it's metal after all.

13. The Offspring - The Kids Aren't Alright - 8. Cool.
14. Scotch - Disco Band - 5. Something strange (2).

Went to get my ears checked. Rhapsody isn't exactly groundbreaking, but it's still better than Epidemic. And I'm not giving up hope that I'll like this band after the second listen.
