Mill - 6; First Snow - 6; Soundtrack to something dark - 5; Pandora's Heart - 6; Piano - 5; Something from Yandex Music - 7; Brian Finnegan - 8; Another soundtrack from a game - 5; Newspaper - 5; Beautiful Death - 5; Scene from the movie "Fire and Sword" - 10; Neverland - 8; Heavenly World - 6; Mozart - 7; James Wuster - 8.
Oh, I was thinking about what to listen to while I draw a picture.
Mill - Golem - 7. Pleasant, but a bit monotonous. Nox Arcana - First Snow - 5. Why is it so sad? Dark Souls II Soundtrack - 5. Why is it so sad (2)? Pandora Hearts OST - 7. Not bad. Celtic Dreams - Strings Of Fire - 6. Too folksy for me. For River - Piano - 6. I liked it, although it's also a bit sad. Llewellyn - Wolflore - Running Free - 7. It reminded me of the Iron Maiden song with the same name. It's quite monotonous at the beginning, but it gets better in the middle. I'm glad I didn't turn it off and listened to it until the end; I added a point. It would be great if the track was two or three times shorter. Brian Finnegan - Steps - 6. Too folksy for me (2). Kingdom Hearts II Soundtrack - 4. It started well, but then it became uninteresting; overall, it's a bit generic and doesn't really grab my attention. GazettE - People Error - 5. Why is it so sad (3)? DR:AE OST - 6. A six-minute instrumental. It would be great if it was three times shorter. Cossack March - 9. I liked it! It reminds me of Gogol and cartoons about Cossacks. Neverland - Into The Horizon - 10. A five-minute instrumental! Why do my instrumental composers only create mediocre music? Two Steps From Hell - SkyWorld - 9. Not bad, although it's slightly inferior to the previous one. Michael Meets Mozart - 8. Very cool, but it's not as good as the Cossack march and the instrumental. Jeeves And Wooster - 10. And this one, for nostalgic reasons. My parents like this music. Well, and the music is pleasant, it's kind of retro. And most importantly, it's short.
Mill - Golemok - 4 didn't resonate.
Nox Arcana - First Snow - 4 too long and somewhat boring, like at a funeral.
Dark Souls II Soundtrack - 3 the music from such games is "good" only within the games themselves, because you hardly pay attention to it.
Pandora Hearts OST - 8 now, this is a good track. Many instruments, a pleasant melody, no drawn-out gloom.
Celtic Dreams - Strings Of Fire - 7 while listening, leprechauns teleported into the apartment and started dancing. They treated me to ale and left a couple of coins as a souvenir. But in general, there's been too much Celtic music over the years, and it's starting to get a bit tiresome.
Llewellyn - Wolflore - Running Free - 6 I wish I could embed it via Yandex Music back in 2016.
Brian Finnegan - Steps - 4 the leprechauns returned and said they wouldn't dance to that.
Kingdom Hearts II Soundtrack - 5 towards the end, I wanted to take out my sword and punish the villains with it.
GazettE - People Error - 4 lacked variety.
DR:AE OST - 4 no, and another seven minutes))00
Kazatsky March - 4 Ukrainians gathered outside the window and started jumping around.
Neverland - Into The Horizon - 5
Two Steps From Hell - SkyWorld - 5 they could have found a better quality version; then the rating would have been higher.
Michael Meets Mozart - 5 the quality is certainly better than the other tracks rated 5, but the melody doesn't really grab me.
Jeeves And Wooster - 5
Added 1 hour 26 minutes ago Golem – I generally liked Melnitsa, but they are weak without vocals. Not that it's bad, though. 5/10. First Snow – Nox Arcana is always good, especially when it's compositions on the theme of winter. 8/10. Note: I am probably biased. Dark Souls II – 6/10. Okay. Pandora Hearts – 9/10. Great, but it would be much better without the slow part in the first half. Celtic Dreams – 6/10. Okay. For River – 6/10. I think the recording quality suffers a bit, but overall it's okay. Wolflore – the first moments were promising, but then I don't know, it could have been better. 5/10. Brian Finnegan – 6/10. Okay. Kingdom Hearts – 6/10. Okay. It reminded me of the soundtrack from Nobunaga (which is better!). GazettE – 9/10. I don't know why you all didn't like it... Beautiful Dead – 9/10. You sit and relax. Overall, it's an 8.5, but whatever. КОЗАЦЬКИЙ МАРШ – 6/10. Okay. Neverland – 6/10. On the one hand, it's a bit boring, but on the other hand, it has a cool variety and in some ways it reminds me of old In Flames tracks. SkyWorld – Hmm, well, this band has some cool tracks, but their music is terribly monotonous. 5/10. I can't rate it higher, but I can't rate it lower either because it's listenable. Michael Meets Mozart – 6/10. Their previous composition was more interesting. Overall, it's quite good, but it's too drawn out (as everyone knows, I'm not a hater of long tracks, but in this case, it can't be called a virtue of the composition) and I don't really like the transitions between the calm and powerful rhythms. Jeeves and Wooster Theme – 4/10. It seems good, but it also seems like nothing.
Added 17 minutes ago Although, okay, GazettE can also get a nine.
1. Mill - 4. So-so.
2. First Snow - 3. So-so, but also twice as long.
3. Dark Souls - 4. So-so, but I'll add a point for outsmarting the contest creator and submitting a song with a choir.
4. Pandora - 7. Now that's music. I was torn between eight and seven, but then I decided that it already has high enough ratings.
5. Celtic Dreams - 8. Good. I added a bonus point for being the first non-depressing track on the list.
6. River Piano - 4. As someone who generally enjoys compositions on keyboards, I can say that this is far from the best one in the game.
7. Wolfloor - 5. I'm giving it this score only because I'm VERY kind; usually, I would immediately discard such long compositions.
8. Steps - 4. Getting real tired of your stuff.
9. Passion - 5. Not passionate enough.
10. Newspaper - 6. Not the best composition, but I gave it a higher score for its clearly expressed mood.
11. Beautiful Dead - 6. I would have given it a higher score if it weren't for the length.
12. Cossacks - 5. Not bad.
13. To the Horizon - 4. This will never end, will it?
14. Hellish Steps - Submitted out of complete lack of ideas and at the same time, a request to Revan to "take participation in contests seriously."
15. Mozart - 6. Seemed so-so, but I already have a headache from these compositions, and fearing to make a mistake, I overestimated the score.
16. Theme D and V - 6. Not bad, and most importantly - short.
Where do we go? Where do we end up when we save the world?
1. Mill -- 7 2. First Snow, Nox Arcana -- 4 3. Aldia, DS -- 5 4. Pandora Hearts -- 6 Something about the last 30 seconds slowed down the tempo and it just wasn't the same. 5. Celtic Dreams -- 8 Let's go shake some gold out of the leprechauns. 6. For River -- 5 7. Wolflore -- 3 It's a bit long and squeaky for my taste. Although I liked it more at the beginning, but towards the end... 8. Brian Steps -- 4 9. Kingdom Hearts -- 6 Well, it's a bit pompous. 10. DR AE OST D1 - 03 DSO BD -- 3 11. Cossacks -- 4 Beat them, guys! Get them! Look at them, they've put on wings! But the music is okay. 12. Neverland -- 4 13. SkyWorld -- 8 Yes, the transitions started, and I like that. 14. Misha met Mozart -- 7
I didn't think there would be so many ratings below six. I even thought there would be only 6+ ratings. But either it's just not quite to my taste, or I'm in a bad mood, it's terrible. I was really looking forward to the contest, but I got less enjoyment than I thought
Golem - 7. I wouldn't say I particularly like this composition now, but it was one of the first instrumental pieces I learned to play on guitar. I just can't give it a lower score. First Snow - 8. This is the kind of music that initially seems boring and somewhat artificial, but towards the end, it becomes captivating and even mesmerizing. Dark Souls - 6. Just a decent soundtrack from the game. I felt like I was sitting by a campfire in a dark and inhospitable world. Hearts of Pandora - 7. Not bad. Violin, and all that. Celtic Dreams - 8. No, Celtic music is cool, and good Celtic music is even cooler, but the first two melodies in this set are too poppy and uninspired for me. The third one saved it: when a set ends with a cool melody, that's already a success. For the River - 6. Piano music, not bad. It seems like I've heard it somewhere before. Free Run - 6. While listening, I was torn about what score to give it: on the one hand, it has Celtic elements and decent melodies, but on the other hand, the rhythm section is again too poppy, although there's a good attempt to create something similar to a real bouzouki (or bodhrán, depending on how you like it), but towards the end, this very monotonous pseudo-bouzouki starts to get tiresome. Steps - 9. This is what real Celtic folk music should be for me. I've listened to this piece too many times to give it a ten. Royal Hearts - 7. I don't really like this type of soundtrack, but I liked this one. Human Error - 6. Piano music, not bad (2). Beautiful Dead (or Dead?) - 5. It didn't impress me, although it has a certain atmosphere. The drums reminded me of Buckethead, but I don't love Buckethead for his drums. Cossack March - 7. I'm not a big fan of Ukrainian folk music, but everything here is good. I couldn't find a reason to give it a lower or higher score. Towards the Horizon - 8. Cool, even though I'm not particularly into this kind of music right now. But why is the sound quality so bad, as if it was run through a "voice removal" filter? Celestial Worlds - 7. 2 Steps from Hell are good, but they somehow got boring. 1 Piano 2 Pianos - 10. Okay, I need to give at least one ten, especially since I already promised these guys in the first contest. And they didn't disappoint. Jeeves and Wooster - 9. I've never watched this, but the melody is good. The score was definitely boosted by the fact that, out of everything presented, this piece is closest to my current playlist.
I don't know, maybe I'm just being nice right now, but overall, I liked the instrumentals this year.
The comment about the campfire is amusing because, throughout the story, this character usually appears from campfires. As a rule, he also pushes the protagonist away from the campfire.

Well, I don't know, I only played the first Dark Souls game and a little bit of the second. So yeah, it's a funny coincidence - I just wrote what came to mind.
