That didn't stop people from playing it in the 2000s. In the 90s, I lived far from the sea and couldn't vacation there.

I wanted to comment on each song, but there's not much to say. The first criterion is whether the music fits the imagery, and the second is how well I could relax while listening to it (what was previously described as a "summer" or "non-summer" track). 1. A decent old pop song that goes well with the picture of the sailors, but unfortunately, I'm not a big fan of that genre... I'll give it a 7 for the atmosphere and combination, but I wouldn't listen to it in the summer.

2. Again, I love WoW as much as I love sailors, and the combination seems pretty good, but the song itself didn't really appeal to me. I'll give it a 7 as well. Revan, sorry =(

3. Let's just say that even within the Soviet-Russian pop music, the performer and the song chosen are not the best... And I don't understand how it relates to the picture... A 3.

4. A good instrumental folk song, but... The picture is too strongly associated with our rural area, and I'm more likely to associate it with some Ukrainian folk music than with the melody that was submitted here. Well, if I rated the combination but not the song with a 7, I think it would be fair to rate the music but not the combination with a 6. After all, Revan initially wanted to focus our attention on the connection between the picture and the song.

5. Yes, the combination is excellent, but firstly, the song didn't really appeal to me, and secondly, Saitama and the song aren't that strongly associated with summer... A 4.

6. A very beautiful piece of music, but I would like to see some more traditional Japanese culture with it, rather than the pastel-sweet world depicted in the picture. But yes, it caught my attention somehow, so I'll give it an 8.

7. I don't really like songs by cute boys playing guitar. But yes, there is a combination. So, a traditional rating of 7 points.

8. Well, what can I say? A magnificent piece of music, I really liked it. But, even if you force me, like in the case of number 6, I have different images in my mind when I listen to this melody. First of all, the forest itself doesn't really suit it, IMO, and secondly, it doesn't have as much of a summer spirit as I see it. So, another 8.

9. Hmm, Perfume. How can I be unbiased here? I love this song, I even know the lyrics, but I wouldn't say that it's really SUMMER-like, but it will be quite good for this time of year. And I can imagine a scene happening under this song, in the place depicted in the picture, but, honestly, it's Soviet... They could have tried to find a Japanese urban coastline. Well, okay, I'll give it a 7. It does fit, albeit with some effort.

10. The same situation as with numbers 6 and 8. Yes, it's cool, yes, it fits, but... Overall, it doesn't give a very summery impression, more like spring or even early autumn... For me, summer is something vibrant, hot, and here it's just beautiful and relaxing. So yes, another 8 points.

11. A classic. A fairly well-known melody. Yes, I can imagine it playing in the streets of the town in the picture, but I would rather imagine it being performed by a live orchestra on a cruise liner... Or, conversely, let's go back in time to the 1930s, remember old radios, and imagine it playing from them... In general, yes, a 7. The melody itself doesn't sound very summery, IMO. (And yes, if we're talking about classical music, they should have submitted Vivaldi! I would have appreciated it!)

12. Yes, it's cool, yes, it's a very cool melody, and I understand the connection, monks, Asia, all that... But, damn, monks could have been training/meditating to this music in the spring and autumn. Even in winter, probably. So a 7.

13. I didn't like the song, but I got the reference. Unfortunately, that's not enough to get as many points as the other candidates, so it will be a 5.

14. A similar situation to number 4. Yes, a beautiful piece of music... But, damn, the melody has the sounds of waves, the creaking of ships... And you're submitting a picture of a village? Seriously? I'll have to give it another 6 for a poor combination.

Many good submissions were sent, with great music and pictures, but I didn't see a truly summery combination anywhere, as I imagine it, so unfortunately, I couldn't give anyone a 9 or 10. But there wasn't much bad stuff either.
