Well, in online play, this can be easily resolved – allow draws, and simply award 3 points for a win and 1 point for a draw. In offline play, a game must be played, although this won't completely protect against match-fixing.

I took 3rd place in a poker tournament :cool: and I was doing quite fine with money, I have no idea why you're all bringing all this up here. And it's not particularly pleasant to read this, so everyone who wasn't at CIS can just get lost.
After the loss in the first round, there wasn't much motivation, and streaming (playing poker, drinking beer) was a more interesting option, so money played no role here at all.

Time to poop in the pool...
I believe I've already expressed all my thoughts in the relevant threads, but the ECHO of various "IMHOs" just won't die down.
Regarding the CIS-2016 situation.
1. The tournament judge made his decision based on his own interpretation of the rules and the situation. That's why he's the judge—to decide.
2. If I had the functions of a judge, I would have disqualified both participants based on the violation of the rule regarding fair and RESPECTFUL play toward other participants.
3. A victory achieved dishonestly cannot be considered full and valid (just as stolen money cannot be considered earned, but one way or another, the money is already "in the pocket").
4. The results of the CIS championships are not subject to review, as there is no such "body" that would be entitled to do so (I hope this is clear and obvious to everyone). Each CIS championship is conducted exclusively by the organizers—at their own risk (by the way, the risk increases every year).
5. To the critics who haven't been to a single CIS championship, I recommend applying to organize and host the next CIS. Work with something other than your tongue, so to speak...
