Damn... And who will we fight now if there are no more archers left? Those Sylvan units will tear through the army with archers and druids in just two turns – you won't even have time to cast any spells...

Well, firstly, no one forces you to build and use only alternate units (I think Fury will remain mostly unchanged in everyone's army), so there will be such a variety that it's still unclear how all these upgrades will play out.

I'm curious, will it be possible to create this mix, or will we only be able to build castles along a specific line, choosing between an alternative or the original version? Or will they make it like Haven from "Hammers of Fate" – leave it in the castle overnight, and it upgrades?

As far as I remember from what I read, it will work like a regular upgrade, and you choose which of the regular units you want to upgrade into. You can always re-spec the units you've upgraded.

yeah, it would be bad if the choice was between old units or new ones...

by the way, invisibility could also be implemented on the map, like bandits in Heroes 4! =)

The prices for alternative units are already indicated in the tables for Sylvan and Dungeon, so the upgrade cost is known. As for re-profiling... it's probably like a new upgrade (i.e., the difference between the regular and improved version).

Damn... Where can I find enough resources to attack them all? And if re-profiling also costs money... Also, will housing upgrades be global, or will they be separate for the alternative/original version? That's what I'm curious about...

I looked at the alternate upgrade for the Dungeon.
I have no words, only emotions.
Although... they certainly went wild with the changes to the Dungeon faction. Apparently, whoever made THIS was having a bad day.
I only liked the new female leaders, the dragon, and the lizard rider.

I liked the Assassins and Minotaurs, but they really went overboard with the others. :D

And it seems pretty good... I didn't expect such quality from Nival...

Ubisoft, as always:smile18: :smile18:. I didn't like almost anything.
Stalker - the claws are like those of a guy from X-Men.
Fury - made on the principle of less clothing, more weapons...
Minotaurs - wearing a helmet, and even with iron protrusions on their horns...
Raiders - too photorealistic, and the lizard looks like a robot...
Hydra - the color is like a child's neon, but otherwise it's okay...
Witches - this is just awful. Pure sadomasochism, and red eyes (like mine from the computer:rolleyes:).
Dragons - This is an unimaginable mess... Some kind
