Favorites, to battle! - 8

For the eighth time, we will compete for our favorite castle, prove its strength, delight viewers with interesting games and unconventional combinations. In this tournament, each player immediately chooses a faction that they will play throughout the tournament.
The first such tournament took place in 2008.
Conflux and Necropolis have twice celebrated victory; once, Fortress, Castle, and Rampart were the best.
What will happen now?

I. General questions.
1. Throughout the tournament, each participant plays as their chosen favorite faction.
2. Game version SoD 3.2 (4.0) + HD mod + HW_rules_mod patch. The latest stable version is currently available: as of early December 2015, HD mod 4.0 RC33, HW_rules_mod 1.38.
3. Color in bracket tables – for the initial seeding. Colors change after each SUBJECTIVE restart.
4. The choice of template is made by crossing out one from the list of 9 templates: 2SM4d(3), Balance, skirmish (at 200% difficulty), Jebus cross, Mini-Nostalgia, Diamond, 8mm6a, 6LM10a, and Spider. The player marked with blue in the table starts eliminating a template.
By mutual agreement, it is permissible to play on any other template. This issue must be discussed beforehand with the tournament judges.
5. If there are two identical factions in a match, then the template is chosen from the list: 2SM4d(3), Balance, skirmish (at 200% difficulty), Jebus cross, Mini-Nostalgia, Diamond, 8mm6a, 6LM10a, Spider, mir_diamond and mir_h3dm1.
In this case, players bargain for the right to choose the starting hero. Players take turns (first, the one marked red in the table, then - blue) crossing out one undesirable hero from the full list; then, the players inform each other how much gold they are willing to transfer to their opponent for the right to make the first choice among the remaining heroes. The player who offers the larger amount chooses the hero first and transfers the gold to his opponent.
On the mir_diamond and mir_h3dm1 templates, each player has one subjective restart at 111.
Also, on the mir_diamond and mir_h3dm1 templates, players negotiate over color. The player who offers the larger amount chooses which color he will play as and transfers the gold to his opponent.
6. Standard rules apply.
The default timer is chess clock style, with parameters specified in the rules.
Any changes to the game rules are allowed by mutual agreement of the players, except for changing the Favorite Castle and the Fair Play rule.
Additional rules for templates:
Mini-Nostalgia. The participant marked with blue in the table begins choosing computer opponents' castles. When the color changes, the selection is not repeated; the castles chosen by the player remain his secondary choices.
Diamond. The participant marked red in the table removes an extra (ninth) castle. If the favorite castles are identical, then red first removes one castle, then blue - a second.

II. Organizational questions.
1. This tournament is official and regular.
2. Tournament goals:
- to play as your favorite faction and try to prove its strength,
- to gain valuable experience and improve your gameplay.
3. The tournament is held according to the Rules for organizing, conducting, and participating in tournaments.
4. Players listed on the Blacklist and Penalty Bench are not allowed to participate in the tournament.
5. Tournament hosts and judges: Pit for LM (ICQ: 471401475) and
KobRa_RR (ICQ: 286406830).
If it is impossible to resolve a controversial issue independently, the judges will seek help from the AC.
The host has the right to make any changes to the regulations and rules during the tournament if necessary.
6. For each played match, participants must submit a report and confirmation in this thread, created automatically.
Saves of all matches must be saved until the end of the tournament and presented upon first request by the tournament host or any member of the AC.
7. Information about the progress of the tournament is updated as needed and is located at the beginning of this thread.
8. All games of the tournament go into the seasonal rating. The list of tournament reports is also located at the beginning of this thread.
9. The winner of the tournament and players who took 2nd and 3rd place will be awarded Medals under their avatar:

Award authors: RAPER and ColdRain.

III. Deadlines.
All participants in the tournament must strictly adhere to the announced deadlines:
1. Immediately after the start of the next stage or round, contact your opponents for preliminary arrangements for the games. Agreeing means reaching an agreement after negotiations and discussion. An offer without a response will not be considered an agreement.
2. Any temporary problems (with internet access, travel plans, personal matters) must be reported to the tournament hosts.
3. The preferred time for tournament games is daytime (12-24 Moscow time) on weekends and evening (19-24 Moscow time) on weekdays. If a participant cannot play at this time, the absence of a game result will be interpreted by the host in favor of his opponent.

Registration - October 25 – November 24, 2015.
Approval of the list of participants - November 25-29, 2015.
Bracket generation - November 30, 2015. The bracket will be generated taking into account the declared faction and the player's skill level based on the results of other tournaments.
Start of the tournament - December 1, 2015.

IV. Regulations.
The regulations will be determined after the end of registration, depending on the number of participants.
A standard format is planned: group stage and Full Double Elimination.

Winners of previous "Favorites, to battle!" tournaments:

"Favorites, to battle! - 1" (2008) - Dudge (Necropolis) - Tournament history
"Favorites, to battle! - 2" (2009) - Pit for LM (Conflux) - Tournament history

Group C, Kobra hasn't appeared on ODD. For 4 months I have been asking this dude to continue the game but there has always been something more important and on final date of continuation he hasn't come. After 2 hours of waiting he has decided to appear and wrote that I refuse to play (?).
There was official ODD date and time for this game? I dont see any post about this.

Seriously, this Polish guy is such a liar and intriguer, it's unbelievable. Disqualify him and don't let him participate in tournaments anymore; he only causes problems. He talks a big game, but his gameplay is just a joke.

What do you mean by official ODD? Kobra is an only active judge last days so who I should ask to make an official ODD? The pope?

What am I supposed to do if a judge-player doesn't answer my questions and then although he declared that he would be able to play 29.03 since 15-16 MSK he doesn't come?

The game started 2 weeks ago, and we could have finished it any evening, even today. Santa has had a lot of problems lately, so he didn't have time. Why not wait until the end of the group stage in this case, if the game is very interesting and there is a desire to finish it? We can always resort to a decision, as well as a technical result. It's more valuable to finish the game. That's what I was aiming for.
My password: A-WE+UE7M7w(Ov)y
Santa's password: 7778
PS: but we will definitely finish the game. Just for fun.

It's very difficult to decide, maybe we'll have to ask for help from the audience.

How about AK or Pit_for_LM? Dont pretend to be child who have noidea how chain of command works. If you dont care to clear complicated situation, dont pretend to have technical win. Period.

Pit doesn't answer.

Then post a note for AK. And as faster you write it the less problem other ppl (and you as well) will have in this tournament. Its no point to complain in the tournament tread where is no other judge but person you complain about.

Also, for me, the situation was absolutely clear: we were scheduled to play on 29.03, and there was no information from Kobra that he couldn't make it on time. He didn't answer my insistent questions, but I don't care why. No information about not being able to make it on time means he will be on time; it's that simple. It's not that he was offline when I was asking him to confirm the dates; he was having fun on streams and was just ignoring my questions, not giving a damn.

There is a point since Kobra is unpredictable for me, and I don't know what he was going to do with the result. This way, it's not that easy to just skip the game entirely and pretend the game ended in a draw.

Then declare a draw, and we'll figure it out later.

Thank you for the game!
I confirm the game for the rating. The result will not be counted in the tournament; Yegor Korobeynikov has been disqualified.

Closed 9 groups.
There are questions regarding 7 groups.

Need to confirm 3 reports – groups G, M, and O.

I will communicate with group C via ICQ.

Group D – question about participation in the UrukHai Tournament and whether Maretti and sShreKs attempted to play against him?
He doesn't appear on the forum; he hasn't responded on ICQ yet.

Group E. I don’t understand what’s going on with your games?

Group N. Are there any save files available?

Well, I said that in our game with Klaus, around day 141, on the last day of the game, the opponent didn't show up. Then he wrote that he had some issues. I never got the password from him. Anyway, I chatted with him on ICQ - he's doing fine, I'm building my second GM 5, everything is great in terms of power and resources, and I have Armageddon with upgraded Ifrits. We can still play if someone doesn't back out or if I don't get control in the nearest Utopia/Guild. I think we should declare a technical draw, and if Klaus doesn't object, I'm not going to bother analyzing the map, considering that this is a game for last place in the group.
