Watched a bunch of domestic films, our own, solid, uhhh, productions. State Councilor. I didn't watch the previous, or maybe not the previous, film "Turkish Gambit," but I read the book. Fandorin, who is disheartened after the events of "Azazel," doesn't seem too eager to talk and, in general, doesn't really possess the characteristics of a parkour fighter here; he's flirting with girls, dodging bullets no worse than Mr. Anderson, making leaps of faith, in general, he's having fun. I wouldn't be surprised if he periodically said, "I'm Batman" to dramatic music. It all starts with a scene, the absurdity of which made me think once again about the imperfection of cinema (or perhaps of our entire existence in general), which is sometimes unable to describe even the simplest actions in a way that doesn't look silly. Okay, let's say everything is fine, and something just wasn't shown, relying on the mental abilities of the audience, but when I saw Mikhalkov, I thought again, was something like this really in the book? The guy under the influence of butirat laughs, jokes, laughs again, twirls a hat on a cane, laughs again, dances, laughs. And this is not about some fool from a fair, but about one of the highest-ranking officials of the state police, militia, guard, army, whatever. I already suspected something was wrong during the opening credits when I saw the name of Mikhalkov, who has not been very well-known lately. And everything is somehow... strange, as if I watched it, as if I didn't turn it off, as if I could devote two hours to it (if I have nothing else to do). But everything is somehow stupid, at the level of Russian translations of anything, except perhaps "what the hell are you doing, you bastard" is missing. I don't understand why Mikhalkov continues to act in this way; he looks out of place and silly. Although, if the character in the book behaved EXACTLY LIKE THAT (which I highly doubt, and I don't even know if such a book exists, I'm drawing conclusions from previous films), then... I don't even know, he still looks somehow unconvincing. I haven't watched many of Mikhalkov's films, but in "When I Am Just Among My Own," he was quite appropriate. And he doesn't dance and doesn't laugh like crazy. Let it be 6 out of 10. I wouldn't recommend it. Leviathan. A film that has been the subject of much discussion, many reviews from popular bloggers, both positive and negative. I wasn't very interested in this film, especially since I glanced at funny reviews from popular mommy bloggers, I knew roughly what was what. I didn't expect anything special. I liked the film, I watched it with interest, and it lasts for 2+ hours, which is quite a high indicator of interest for me, who sometimes reluctantly watches even shorter works. It's hard to say what it's about, what the meaning is, and what other indicators make people value the time they wasted. But I would recommend watching it (if, of course, it has attracted your attention at least a little) and evaluating it yourself. I give it 8 out of 10. Oh my god. The Fool. Another film that, as it seemed to me, has garnered no less attention than the previous one. There was even some kind of division of the masses into two fronts, about ten people each: some said that "Leviathan is great, The Fool is garbage," others had the opposite opinion. I don't know what they're talking about; I liked both films. I expected EVEN LESS from this film than from Leviathan, but in the end, I wasn't disappointed either. The film lasts about two hours (here, I was distracted by work and eating, but that's not the point), and I watched it with pleasure. What is it essentially about? In the middle of the film, I had a thought that the theme of the oppression of the people by the authorities, and the depiction of the people themselves, was very popular in Russia, at least during this period. In the first one, they oppress, in this one, they crush with bloody rakes, cultivating bloody dollar trees like aliens from Lovecraft (mom, I watched War of the Worlds, he wrote it, right?). Well, what can you do, this is our country - dirt, death, drunkenness, theft, and disregard. Many, perhaps, sitting in warm new buildings somewhere in Moscow, will let out a skeptical chuckle at the images shown in the film, not believing that something like this is possible in 2015, when the country has already been ruled for ten years by a cyborg with a powerful artificial intelligence and nuclear grenade launchers built into its shoulders. Well, what, who knows. The story in "The Fool" is more clear, more specific, more understandable, perhaps? Because in "Leviathan," everything is fluid, it stretches like Turbo chewing gum (like if you collected Turbo wrappers), and nothing concrete really happens, and the perception depends on your imagination or whatever is responsible for this? Who cares, let's drink vodka. About "The Fool." Many good questions are raised in the film, many different images, and so on. Not that these questions reveal any meanings of life, the universe, flights into deep space, and the principles of nuclear lasers (Russians like nuclear weapons, haha, Ivan, yes, yes), which Russia will someday install on its invincible "Apocalypse" tank (ohhh...), but they simply remind everyone who watched the film. Although, many probably didn't even think about half of these things. On the other hand, the film does show some points of view regarding answers to some of these questions. Oh yes, I also laughed at the scene at the beginning of the film, where a man obsessively hammered nails into a perfectly intact board of a bench, at least it seemed to me that it was intact. You can feel that you are watching the film "The Fool." 9 out of 10. Legend No. 17 Three ominous letters "T" in the opening credits and the inscription "Nikita Mikhalkov Studio" caused some hopelessness and apathy. I was already ready to imagine Mikhalkov in the role of a coach, laughing wildly with all his toothy mouth, twirling a hockey stick in each hand like a double-bladed lightsaber, dancing a hopak on the ice. But, fortunately, Nikita didn't want to. And not just a film, but a film that lasts 2+ hours. What happened to the film industry? Earlier, 90-100 minutes was the norm for a movie, and now it's 120+. People overcome, strive for victory, all is well, sports, universal support. Nothing extraordinary, revolutionary, fantastic, fashionable, just a good film, I would recommend it. Just for the fact that Nikita didn't star in it, it's worth watching. Oh my god, thank you, Nikita, from the bottom of my heart, I hope that in the future you will not star in films many more times, oh my god, thank you, dear, good, great. 7 out of 10.

I don't remember when I last watched it, but I think the film doesn't differ much from the book. I would rather not recommend reading the author or watching the adaptations at all. Maybe it's better than all those Dondos, but it's still not worth it, definitely not worth it.

The Walking Dead (Series, 74 episodes)
The length of one episode is ~43 minutes, which means the total viewing time is over three thousand = fifty hours. Just think about it, fifty hours—more than two full days—I spent watching this series. I watched the first three seasons a long time ago, back when only the third season existed, but just the other day I finished everything filmed up to today (+2.5 seasons).
Main thoughts regarding this series:
People are idiots. That is the only way the plot of this series can work, because if the characters had even a little bit of brains, there would simply be nothing to film—90% of the content would have to be cut (and the number of survivors would increase by exactly that much).

The plot is largely ridiculous and absurd. This is mostly evident in various small details—not only the moronic actions of the characters, but also a general lack of thought in everything possible. Many elements are used exclusively "for the sake of the scene." One of the simplest examples of this: there is a theme where, in this setting, you can cover yourself (clothes, face) in zombie guts (dead flesh, blood, etc.), in which case the "living" zombies will not pay attention to the person. The characters of the series know about this, and some of them have used this method a couple of times. But for some reason, throughout all the seasons, they constantly forget about it. Five people are in a building in a small town; a HUGE horde of dead is wandering the town; there are only two dead zombies in the building itself; the zombies are not breaking into the building; among the survivors, one has a shot leg, and another has a dislocated knee; WHAT SHALL WE DO? MM, SHALL WE COVER OURSELVES AND SAFELY WALK THROUGH THEM? NOOOOOOO, WE'LL RUN))).
On top of everything else, one sometimes gets the impression that the "end of the world" and "survival" are pushed to the background, while relationships take center stage (in the first ten minutes of the first episode of the fourth season, kisses from three different "couples" were shown).
Characters
A short assessment of some of them.
Rick Grimes. Seems like a totally normal guy, a LEADER, like he makes the tough calls, protects his friends and family. You want to sympathize with him, but you can't, because despite all his positive qualities, he is a crazed asshole. I don't know if it was intended that way or if the writers just messed up. I'm inclined to believe the latter.
Lori Grimes. Rick's wife, a worthy match for her husband—a crazed slut and a ***ing mother.
Carol Peletier. Commando housewife. What else is there to say? She annoyed me throughout the first seasons, but by the seventh, I began to feel better about her. The character concept didn't become any better because of this, though.
Michonne. The cherry on top of the whole series: a f***ing black samurai hacking zombies with a katana (not only would the sword wear out very quickly, but she also swings it like some kind of stick).
Philip Blake. Just like Rick—crazed. Although in this case, it doesn't look so bad, because the character was designed that way. The acting is not bad and is perceived more or less normally (his filler episodes were much better against the backdrop of the main "prison plot"—pouring water from one empty vessel to another).
Hershel and Maggie Greene did not leave a negative impression and were perceived more or less normally.
Beth Greene—a dim-witted schoolgirl, #1 hysteric.
Gabriel Stokes. Who would have thought that a Christian priest would be made into a scoundrel, a coward, and... crazed (I use this word often in this message, but it fits many on this list very well).
Sasha. Another nutcase + aims through optics from two meters—you'd even die in online shooters like that, let alone a zombie apocalypse.
Normal folks
Carl Grimes. Son of Rick and Lori. Despite parents like those, he turned out to be a normal kid. Perhaps it's because the boy is growing up in a "new world."
Daryl Dixon. You'd think—the ultimate survivor—but strangely enough, he is written quite well and looks more or less believable.
Abraham Ford. All that charismatic soldier, killing the dead while laughing, afraid of nothing and no one. It's just a pity that they later started adding drama to him as well.
Glenn. There are many moments in the series where characters "try to maintain their humanity," because of which, essentially, most of them just look plain stupid. Glenn, in turn, looks normal (or at least better than the others) in this regard, and is generally a normal fellow.
Rosita Espinosa. Somehow the creators of the series managed to achieve a certain trend—almost all female characters turned out to be either mentally ill or absolutely implausible (ridiculous concepts). Therefore, the main advantage of this girl is that throughout all three seasons she appeared in, she managed to avoid falling into the same category as the other women. Although, perhaps, this is because she didn't have that much screen time.

3.5/10. Worth watching if you have nothing to do, or probably while sitting on the couch with a beer.

I liked the Swedish version much more, but I won't recommend it to you since you don't like "long movies" (besides, the Swedes filmed the entire trilogy).

If the movie is good or at least decent, I'll watch it without any problems.

Game and BeKa (five years ago), and another third one (personally for me) – are good films that I liked. After that, he started making his bland and boring stuff, starting with Zodiac. I haven't watched Panic Room, but I've watched everything else, except for the last two. But I read Revan's review of "The Girl" and it's almost the same as if I had watched it.

Since today is my day off, I decided to go to the cinema and watch some cartoons. There weren't many people, and I didn't regret spending 160 rubles to sit alone in the center of the cinema hall and eat popcorn. And I watched the following: Snow Battle 3D. At first, it seemed like I wouldn't see anything but squeaks and screams. Closer to the middle, I started to understand the plot. Although I went mainly to assess the quality of the visuals from the perspective of a professional 3D artist, I must say, the cartoon was engaging. However, from my point of view, there was a lot of unnecessary stuff, like love stories, but the main drama was that the children killed a dog. I even felt sorry for it. And there were a few funny moments, the silly little sister was amusing. Finally, from an animator's perspective, it wasn't made perfectly, but it was done well. The snow is realistic, although the particles could be improved. Overall, 8 out of 10.

Star Wars - 7
Since the fans, including Koshi and myself, have already seen it, and the rest are unlikely to go, I'll allow myself to spoil it with the words of a classic:
- So, what is this movie about? - Mmm... Hmm... Gmm... It's about nothing!

This is considering that I don't expect much from a fairy tale in terms of plot logic.
