1. To participate in the second offline Heroes 4 tournament "Powerspot Insides", you need to register on our website and also submit an application in this thread.

P.S. This tournament is held as part of the general Cunningham Memorial Tournament, so all information, as well as the conduct and results, will be displayed in this section.

2. The tournament is held on the Russian version of Heroes 4: The Battle for Antagarich from Buka. The save will be generated on the Russian version.

3. The goal of the game is to defeat the enemy.
The result will be evaluated primarily based on the shortest time.
If several players have the same completion time, the best will be determined by points; if a favorite still cannot be determined, it will be based on the amount of mercury.

4. The following are prohibited in the tournaments:

1) The use of cheat codes is prohibited during a clean playthrough of the save.

2) Restarting or any other modification of the initial save is prohibited.

3) Getting into a boat without losing a turn is prohibited (using the spacebar).

4) The use of "completely closed ambushes" on the battlefield is prohibited.
(I will explain in more detail what this is for those who do not understand. By a "closed ambush," I mean a COMPLETELY closed area, for example, with stones or logs, in which there is a small island for a unit, such as a fairy, harpy, or vampire, etc. That is, a place that cannot be reached by land by a unit of the smallest size (3x3), but can only be reached by air, a kind of natural fortress. Having such an ambush, you can defeat a hundred Black Dragons with one fairy and win an impossible battle. To avoid such situations, I prohibit the "closed ambush" in this tournament.

5) Discussion of the tournament on the forum during its conduct is PROHIBITED!!!
(Players who violate this rule will automatically be disqualified from the tournament; their results will not be counted and will be annulled).

5. EVERYTHING ELSE IS ALLOWED.
(full use of graveyard technologies, including raising the hero's corpse, using the spacebar, upgrading the corpse on crystals, wheels, and establishments, speeding up, splitting armies to transfer them through gaps, an unlimited number of heroes on the map, and so on).

"Not a closed ambush" or, more precisely, a semi-open one is allowed in this tournament.
In this case, I call a semi-open ambush a place where a unit or Hero can enter on foot, while the attacking monsters, regardless of their size, must be able to reach the Hero or unit to attack it (the meaning of a semi-open ambush is to limit the number of monsters attacking you at the same time), and it's not good to sit in an ambush while the enemy is wasting away. Our Heroes fight with their visors open.

6. The player must save intermediate saves for each game day during the tournament.
Intermediate saves may be requested by the tournament organizer to verify the integrity of the playthrough. If the use of cheat codes is detected, as well as clearly indicated errors and features of the game prohibited for use, the player will be immediately disqualified from the tournament.
It is also necessary to save controversial battles (like a hero and a fairy against 100 dragons) so that the fairness of the victory can be verified.

7. Together with the final save, players must send a description of the tactics of the final battle (the more complex the battle, the more complete).
If the victory depends on the outcome of morale/luck/certain actions of computer players, a complete description of the battle is required - one that can be repeated.

8. Send the final save to the email address g-andrew@mail.ru. The sent save must contain the tournament number (2), the participant number in the application table, the abbreviation (PI - Powerspot Insides), and the player's nickname. Example: 2_1_PI_Alan.h4s.

9. The tournament starts on May 1 and will last until May 31 (inclusive). The results will be announced on June 3, 2007.

10. After receiving your save, you will see in the application table that:

save accepted - next to the Bold Nickname
save counted - next to the italic - bold Nickname

Saves will be considered only from those players who are in this table, so submit your applications in ADVANCE!!!

1. Download the save.

2. The downloaded save must be placed in the GAMES folder of your installed Heroes 4 on your computer.

3. Load it and start the game at any time that is convenient for you, while remembering to make daily saves.

4. After reaching the last action (after which the victory occurs), you need to save again.

5. With the final save, describe this last step in detail (most likely the battle); then, the results will be determined faster, and there will be less suspicion of cheating!!!

6. A complete description of the tournament map is encouraged (not required). If there are any, a competition will be held for the best description, 10 of which (the best) will take their place of honor in the "Feats of Our Best Heroes" section!

7. Send this save to the specified address (in the rules of this tournament).

8. Wait for the results to be announced.

The first link is to the rules of the perpetual tournament on that resource (this will also be useful for tournament organizers for Heroes 4 here). I should note that I don't agree with all the points in the rules, even there. Here, I see that they took the rules of the Zveroboy tournament as a basis - it will work, and I'll talk to the organizers separately about clarifications.
The second link leads to an Article that I wrote when I was playing in a perpetual tournament and suddenly started discovering some features in Heroes 4 that I didn't know were allowed by the rules or not, so I contacted the organizer and created an Article. In general, I'm probably not the first to discover the features with the graveyards, but at the moment when I noticed this, I hadn't read about it anywhere and didn't know it from anyone.

Heroes 4 includes the original game, the first add-on "The Gathering Storm," and the second add-on "Winds of War." They are installed one after the other. They were published by Buka. There is also a "Golden Series" edition, which includes parts 1-4 of Heroes, and a "Platinum Series" edition, which includes only parts 1-3. So, either buy the three parts or look for the "Golden" edition, but that's difficult because it was a limited gift
