Basically, everything I remember about the map: the size was XL, the starting hero was one, without a tavern in the castle, then a hero is released from the dungeon, it seems like an Astral, but the name was either Mage or Wizard or something like that, the map didn't seem to be Russian, so the hero names weren't Russian either. I abandoned the map back then because that hero from the dungeon died, and I needed him to pass the guards.
It seemed like it was a map by Samatron, but I checked, and he doesn't have one like that.

There are many maps, especially custom ones, where the map size is small, and you start with one hero without a tavern.

Based on the description, it strongly resembles a map from The Restoration of Erathia - Realm of Chaos (Allies) / Kingdom of Chaos (with allies).
However, you can choose heroes there, and the colors aren't quite the same.

There's also a neutral alliance of the Stronghold and Fortress, but otherwise, everything matches very well. It's most likely that one.

The map itself (an open map) represents the coat of arms of Erathia – a shield with a griffin.
