I tried playing on Hard in the Campaigns, but the AI's stupidity is just annoying. Instead of at least trying to act with its main army, it just sits in the city. Or it passes by my built-up city and goes to another one that is two moves away, doesn't reach it by one unit, and stands there, while I simply teleport there and finish it off. And all the difficulty comes from the lack of resources at the beginning, and a couple of combinations disarm the opponent who acts with two heroes. As for the demonic portal system, I don't even want to talk about it.

I played on hard difficulty, using a Warrior of Chaos build. Generally, everything is manageable, and I reached the point where I had to face Torgul's army. I saw the "deadly" difficulty notification, so I spent two weeks gathering troops from all my castles. The notification changed to "serious," and I defeated him using auto-battle because I was too lazy to fight manually. Then, I encountered a trap: a battle against Azrael and a ridiculously large army of Zana: over 200 Destroyers, more than a thousand Cerberuses, 800 Succubi and Lilims each, over 500 Imps, and over 200 Fiends. No matter how hard I tried to focus on killing the hounds with "Evil Blood," the rest of the units just overwhelmed me. If I tried to stay behind cover, the archers did less damage, but all the melee units would attack, and the dogs would often catch up and bite. If I tried to block the archers, the infantry would surround me from all sides. The dogs would be blocked, but they didn't even need to be; there was already enough meat there to kill Azrael. I tried different tactics and replayed the battle about 15 times, but it was all in vain. Either I lack the experience for these kinds of battles, or something else is missing. I gave up, replayed the game on the easiest difficulty to finish the map faster, and the final battle was, of course, twice as easy, as was Zana's army. I defeated everyone and still had 28 health points remaining.

I only managed to apply "Frenzy" to the dogs once!:( The tactic is this: apply "Frenzy" to the dogs first (while they haven't all approached), then give the "Fire Sign" to all dangerous and large stacks (while staying behind the rocks). The main thing is to prevent the dogs from biting (they only bit me twice) - run around the field, avoiding the dogs' attack range, and eliminate the smaller units. I cast "Frenzy" on the largest stacks a couple of times. In the end, you'll be left with the remaining dogs (which can be easily defeated with simple exchanges of attacks). That's it! And I still had 20% of my health left.
