End of the Hunt
For the last few weeks,
Alex306 had been feeling miserable. And it was not a physical weakness, but a spiritual one. Depression would not leave Alex306; heavy thoughts hung like a burden in his head and gave him no peace. Trying to distract himself somehow, Alex decided to go for a ride on the new horse he had recently bought. At first, everything was fine, the horse obeyed its master, but then it unexpectedly reared up and threw Alex from the saddle. Falling awkwardly, the young man broke his neck and died instantly.
The battle between
Heroist and a local duel enthusiast turned out to be quite interesting and attracted many spectators.
A bat once again infiltrated someone's house, and after some time, a suspicious woman emerged from the house.
The big cat kept sniffing and sniffing, obtaining the information he needed. The lizard and the wolf were doing the same.
Six soldiers stood guard at
Drakkoshka's house all night.

A bright flash lit up the morning sky. A storm cloud hanging over Ve-He woke the city's residents. There was almost no one in the central square. In a small gazebo, at a small table, a big cat sat alone. He was drinking tea and listening to the violin of a blind musician sitting in the neighboring gazebo, and the sound of the rain. An axe and a sword hung from the cat's belt. Soon, a figure in a hooded cloak appeared on the square. The unknown cloaked figure slowly approached the gazebo, removed the cloak, and sat at the table. The cat pushed a cup toward the guest and poured tea into it. Both silently enjoyed the music, the tea, and the tapping of drops on the tiles.
- I was waiting for you, - the cat spoke.
- It is hard to catch you off guard. Therefore, I decided to kill you openly, so that everyone could see. But it seems, - the elf looked around. – No one will see your death.
- Are you so sure of your victory?
- I am sure of nothing. You are the one who is sure of your defeat.
- Did a Sorcerer teach you to read thoughts?
- No. A certain youth taught me how to judge people.
A heavy silence hung in the air. The music faded; the violinist was preparing to leave. Having finished his tea, the elf stood up, walked to the center of the square, and unsheathed a spear. The cat placed the empty cup on the table and stepped into the neighboring gazebo.
- Wait. Play some more, - the whiskered one said to the musician and placed a couple of gold coins in his hand.
A tense melody filled the square. The cat and the elf stood opposite each other, weapons in hand. They looked into each other's eyes for a long time without moving. The cat attacked first. With incredible effort, the elf managed to dodge the flying axe, which embedded itself in the door of one of the houses. The duel began.
Dead
Nephela, with many wounds, lay on the ground. The water in the puddles, mixing with her blood, turned light red. A mortally wounded elf sat beside her. However, despite the severe injuries, he did not die. Having carved the word "eyvon" onto the wrist of the slain woman, the murderer wanted to take the body and leave. But in such a state, he could not carry Nephela away with him and began hastily eating her right there on the square.
