Posts from RPG based on KOTOR – suggestions and perceptions!

Hmm, but if the NК existed before the movie, are you sure that the droids from the movies are worse? Anyway, if you don't want to - that's your choice, I just wanted to suggest...
Just look closely at the game and you'll understand that the NК models possessed such a sophisticated intelligence that they could track their targets and set traps for them. Definitely a better intelligence than the Trade Federation droids. Those don't even have such a flexible design. And besides, maybe the Republic forbade the creation of droids with intelligence like the NК, as they were too dangerous a weapon. After all, in the Jedi Knight and Jedi Academy games, pirates used illegal droids with advanced features - which the Republic had banned from being produced
By the way, how about adding a Star Wars-themed gambling table for added realism? Dice, Pazaak – entertainment and profit!)))))
Another IMPORTANT question for discussion: what should we do with the replayable planet Onderon? How should we approach this scenario – help Queen Talia and get rid of the instigators, or help General Vaklu and grant Onderon independence from the Republic?
Here's some info about the RPG principles. I recently read a book about Star Wars and learned a lot of interesting things that I decided to incorporate into the RPG.
Now, the auras of planets – the aura of the Dark Side and the Light Side on certain planets – will have some effect on Jedi, influencing them towards evil or good, respectively. The fact is that the Dark Side is more effective in leading people down the path of evil, while the Light Side rarely influences Sith.
As a counter to this, I decided to implement a system of changing appearance, but not quite like in KOTOR. Now, changing appearance will not occur based on the choice of the Force side, although things have become more complicated here. Instead, it will happen based on mood swings – if you fall into a rage, you get changes and Dark Side points. The book mentioned that when you fall into a rage and use the Force with anger, blood vessels on your face burst, which is why some Sith look so frightening, but those who consciously control their actions do not suffer such damage.
I agree that this can add some sophistication and realism to the game.
And I will make sure to include such details in the game. :D ;)
Here's some information about character replayability! Those who choose characters with the Force will be able to level up Force disciplines with each level – I've taken quite a few from the games, around 30 Forces, each with several levels. And in total, it currently amounts to 75 experience level increases. Jedi masters will level up their skills every 2 levels – we need to balance things somehow. For ordinary characters who don't possess the Force, instead of Force skills, they will be able to level up their skills every level (by the way, skills are related to physical objects). They will be able to wear heavy armor, implants that increase their stats, and... I'll definitely come up with something else worthwhile!)))) There will also be a droid class available – individually, a player can create a droid character of a unique model – droids will have more advantages compared to ordinary humans. They will be able to be upgraded, level up various programs (naturally, with increasing levels), but they will pay for this with regeneration and some other abilities... I'll clarify that later.)))
A small suggestion:
What if we made a small reference to JA, and all players started their journey as greenhorns (except for GMs, of course). Those who decided to follow the path of a Jedi or Sith would begin the game, regardless of their intended side, at the Jedi Academy. If a pilot, then at a military academy, etc.

I completely agree... and will the initial arsenal be standard, or will they provide (even if it's a small) choice (like in Arcanum)?

Well, it seems that's the plan - not greenhorns, but teenage travelers - at least, that's how I imagine it - we choose a starting planet and find our own goal - some may want to do evil, others good, and some may turn out to be passive.
So, here's my suggestion: since the RPG is already partially ready, shouldn't we launch a beta test (like we did with the first Tengu RPG) to identify and fix the remaining bugs in practice? Any thoughts?
