I have a disc with the collector's edition, and recently I wanted to replay all the "Heroes" games, but the fourth part doesn't load completely. It just reaches 100% and that's it! There's no completion of the installation! And it freezes at 100%.

I understand. The thing is that the fourth game has 3 official releases (like the third game) and there are also pirated compilations. However, I haven't found (or heard of) a complete collection in one release, like the third game.
I would suggest this: install the game on another computer (where it will install and run properly) and then copy that installed game to your computer. However, if you have an operating system like Vista, 7, or 8, I can't guarantee that it will work – the game is designed for XP.

I installed the fourth game on my new laptop. The operating system is 8. I fiddled with compatibility settings and got everything working. Then I tried to launch it. It says: "Failed to install the driver." By the way, the map editor launched normally. So, I decided to install the game through VirtualBox on an XP system. After the installation was complete, it automatically kicked me out to the browser, where it said that a certain page could not be found. When I click on the game shortcut on the virtual machine's desktop, the virtual machine freezes, the screen shrinks, and turns black. If I launch it through the disk menu, a funny sound plays, and nothing else happens. It seems that the problem is that the game has an outdated link to the necessary driver. What should I do in this situation?

I just described a similar situation – install the game not on a virtual system, but on a normally installed one, with its own drivers, and then copy it to your laptop. And don't be lazy and install DirectX 9 (hopefully it doesn't conflict with newer DirectX versions).

I did exactly that six months ago. Now I regret not even trying to install it on Windows 8. The game freezes every two to three hours. It's not very convenient for online play.

The problem is that the game itself has a certain lag. Although it was removed in later versions, it still manifests itself to some extent - if you play for a long time, the game starts to slow down slightly - as if fatigue accumulates. And no memory cleanup helps - you have to restart the game.
Although, on the other hand, there is a certain plus to this (although I didn't think about it before) - the computer kind of reminds you that it's time to stop playing and take a break.

Hey everyone, I have a question. I updated Windows to 10. Yesterday, I was playing Heroes 4 and encountered an issue where the autosave feature isn't working. After each turn, I get a message saying that the autosave failed. The game is a licensed version, as is Windows. Has anyone else encountered and solved this problem?
