You're overestimating them... They are good, I agree. But their best quality is still "Terror," it's just a shame that it can only be used once. The Death Knight spoiled me with its unlimited use :D

minotaur and medusa... it depends on who you're playing against.
ifrit and nightmare... nightmare has more hit points (and maybe something else) and has the fear ability, but I like ifrits more, with their fire shield, and they fly well too.
dragons and hydras... dragons are better in all respects! the downside is the cost of building and buying them, and they come in small numbers, but it's worth it.
hydras are basically walking meat... if you're playing against nature with sand creatures, it's even worse.

Well, the Hydra has 250 HP, which isn't that bad, especially compared to the Champion of Life, which only has 150 HP (the lowest at level 4). It just needs to be buffed with various spells for a good amount of time to become REALLY good.
Also, if you're playing as the Hydra, you need to change your usual tactics. Don't just rush it into the enemy's back lines (unless it already has speed). Instead, position it on your own territory. You can use it to protect someone or give a good smack to the enemy!

Jellyfish: Infinite ammo, petrifying gaze, and the minotaur block is useless against magic! :D
Ifrits: Mobile, fire shield, and immune to fire! But the Nightmare is also a powerful creature! :cool:

I thought that, with your love for melee combat, you would actually be in favor of the minotaurs. No, they really fight well, especially against neutral creatures.

I respect archers! And Chaos only has Orcs and Medusas! :D

Only if you're not against Haven. Chaos has nothing to cure forgetfulness with... But I still like them more. Though minotaurs are cuter.

I'll be more flexible in this regard... and if the opponent is Haven, I'll seriously consider using Minotaurs. Unless I don't have any artifacts!

nightmare medusa, I voted that way.

Medusa, Nightmare, Chaos Diamond... in my opinion, this is the strongest and most advantageous combination.

Medusa (a powerful ranged unit, even considering her forgetfulness), Nightmare (tough and can cast Terror, which is perfect against that Haven mage); and the last one depends on whether there's a powerful mage with cat-like reflexes. If there is, go for Hydras; if not, go for Cerberus (or, even better, when you have two castles and can take both).

Medusa with her deadly gaze is a killer, especially if the hero has the Elven King's Bow and the "Cat's Reflexes" spell. Nightmare is simply a good fighter, and "Terror" is a decent addition. Chaos Demon – no comment...

Well, if we're talking about the topic, Ifrits + Chaos Devils + a bunch of heroes, mostly Chaos mages throwing fireballs, chokes, etc.:)

By the way, I think someone mentioned the high cost of building Chaos Devils somewhere; maybe I'm getting blind, or something changed in the same EC, but it seems like their lair still costs the same 14k + resources, and it's as "expensive" as any other dwelling:)
