I met some guys from Moscow, and at first, I was surprised by the train car number - 31, but then it turned out that the clever Russian Railways had named the car between numbers 12 and 14 that way :D
Since Dima Matrosov offered his apartment as the initial meeting place, the accommodation issue was resolved, and Player and Aive joined us.
Kind Dima had some good drinks, and he knew the right stores, so a couple of hours flew by. Then our group split up - some stayed with Dima, and some went with me to pick up things and meet the bus, so we could gather again at meeting point 2, where Falcon, Sanin, Horn, and Stomper joined us... Kobra was a little late :) The next item on our agenda was a trip to Lenta - it was epic. We probably filled about 10 shopping carts, and then someone remembered that we needed to buy something else, and the carts went back into the aisles again... And how much was spent... but as always, it wasn't enough :smile04:
In general, after stuffing a huge pile of boxes and bags into the minibus and Kobra in the trunk, we drove to the cottage. After some time, more people started arriving - ATG, Vik, Bayazet, SiL (+ a few more), and finally, Vatya, who decided to travel from Moscow individually :D
After some organizational issues, mainly consisting of collecting money, I finally drew the first-round pairings, creating a few "papal" free slots  At the same time, a "papal" poker game was taking place on the second floor, and I joined Kobra, Numu, and ATG with Ko, but after a couple of good coolers, I gave up my seat to Falcon and went to drown my sorrows :D At the same time, our cook, Player (he had offered his candidacy for this role even before the tournament, and as compensation, he was exempt from all fees - accommodation, food, alcohol + he subsequently received a VERY GOOD BONUS ;) ), prepared the food, and the pace of the round slowed down a bit.
As for my games, in the game against Falcon, I took all his castles and thought the game was in the bag, but alas, Nelka proved me wrong, and I only remember the second game against Nitro in fragments because practically every break between moves, we visited a certain room where Matrosov and Vigo with a friend (Artem, good job for coming :smile20: ) didn't let anyone leave without having a drink with them, so the outcome of the game and my entire performance was logical :D, but I think that by taking the alcohol hit on myself, I helped Kobra take 1st place because, besides him, I didn't see any other sober participants. :)
In general, I could go on and on - it was a lot of fun, many funny moments, thanks to everyone who participated, who came, even if only for a few hours. I was glad to meet new people - wowa, SiL, and of course, Vigofriend - Artem, and the train enthusiast Vatya :p
Thanks again, and see you next time.
P.S. - You should have seen how Kobra dodged and ran away when I wanted to put the winner's medal on him :D
Весна 2012.
