actually, the top players are Gomunguls, Maretti, and Bishop.

Hmm, Maretti didn't win anything this year, and although Gomunguls won 2 grand tournaments, he's been inactive.

I didn't understand the hype around Maretti at all... Is this person playing Heroes just for the medals? He won here, took second place there, lost in the semi-finals... Everyone sees it, everyone sees those same 5-6 medals in a season...
Yes, Maretti is good, but he clearly doesn't deserve the title of Player of the Year 2014... Although... Tastes differ (as they say)...
