StickyFingaz tried to play about 3 weeks ago, but couldn't connect, most likely due to his internet provider. The situation is concerning because it's unclear what to do about these games. I asked Roger DAltavilla about this on December 19th, but I didn't receive a response, or perhaps it didn't reach him, and I haven't been able to catch him online.
First game, Group A. 4 towers were generated, but that's fine, because I have 6 heroes on the first turn, and 2 top-tier Necromancers, Klava and Aislinn, plus Krag!) By the end of the week, they were united in the castle and clearly captured 2 towers. Another 6 emerged from one path, and that decided the game; on turn 126, I finally defeated the Beast!) Thanks for the game!
Game 2, Map 2, SAM vs. YOLO
While Bubuch and I were playing the first game (and doing quite well), it turned out that we didn't need to play it anymore. We started the second game, but this time not on a small map, but on a panic map.
The random generation turned out to be quite amusing – Tazar against Shakti.
In the tavern, I also found Solmyr, and thanks to many ranged units, and a resource node near the road close to the Necropolis spawn, he transitioned from a scout to a main unit, pushing Tazar aside. On a panic map, the rules require you to build a Town Hall level 4. This was the biggest challenge.
In the first week, we gained a technological advantage and secured a resource node with +2/+2 magic artifacts, a +3 magic power and armor item, and boots from a nearby zone. We also captured a Necropolis village, defended some mines, and bought Ritz for mercury.
In the second week, again with Solmyr after securing the resource node, we obtained a +4 shield for marks and broke through to the zone with the crosses. There, we took another village and found a +3 sword in a cart. On day 122, the opponent appeared in the visible zone. This was very bad because I had only built a Town Hall level 3, and there were almost no units at the spawn... And to break through from the zone where Solmyr is, I would have to go through either Archdevils or a group of cows:smile04:. We chose the cows; a chain of units with intelligence and a resource node at the spawn helped us defeat them quite easily, although there was some panic. In this zone, we collected some resources and took an Inferno village. The opponent didn't try to find me but broke through to other zones. I managed to drive away his scout on day 124, who could have captured my village. The next day, I built a Town Hall level 4 (Armageddon and water walking) there, and it was immediately captured, but it wasn't too unpleasant.
We upgraded the snakes and went to Bubuch's territory. We first delivered the previously scouted quest artifact to the hut – hello, 45 orcs! The special ability in the Fortress helped us.
Thank you for the game!
Attention! The deadline for the group stage ended on January 8th. Due to the New Year holidays, we will extend the deadline slightly. In general, all games of the group stage must be played by January 18, 2014, inclusive. If you have problems with opponents, contact us via ICQ, and we will find a solution: we will assign matches, award victories, or impose penalties. :smile01:
The roads rolled out great; Müllich, the cartographer is nearby, and there's a breaker on 121. I decided to play even though the opponent had Kira. Through some simple calculations, I determined we were playing template №1, and I planned to crush the opponent on 121-122; for this, I captured 5 Castles on the first turn. But it wasn't that simple! No direct road to the opponent was found—Vik lied as usual) So I had to grind a bit, what can you do)) It was more fun doing this with the cartographer; we got diplomacy as the 8th skill! A hill fort was found in the very corner of the map; on 131 I took a couple of Dragon Utopia and ran towards ГО. In the center, I took another Dragon Utopia via Dimension Door, and a turn later caught up to the opponent's Kira. After crushing her on the spot, as well as a couple of Necromancer units, it became clear which way the wind was blowing... then I squeezed out some Castles, but without Town Portal (wisdom wasn't delivered))) they became difficult to defend against a couple of strong mages from the opp; after grinding a bit more, I finally caught Sandro right at the Dragon Utopia)
