Which Ent do you like more?
I actually liked it when they were called dendroids, and there were real trees back then, not just trunks with strangely yellow leaves, are they rotting or is it eternal autumn?
In general... let's go back to the dendroids...
P.S., I say this with all my respect for the elves, as a race, and for the ents, as units.
Play it and you'll see. If dendroids were made in 3D, they would look like ordinary people with branches sticking out – almost just simple logs from the tale of the "Emerald City." A wooden army, poorly crafted by Urfin Juss))):D
I still sincerely don't understand what could be appealing about THIS ent; it's not beautiful. I like beautiful monsters, ones that are pleasing to the eye. Look at dragons or unicorns; they really lift your spirits...

A normal person wouldn't look at this monstrosity without shedding tears. Neither at this, nor at that. Although, if they were just meant to be funny in the original, then in the beta, they also evoke extreme contempt. Especially those teeth, half of which seem to have been knocked out by someone's fist =)))

I was just about to say something about the teeth, but you beat me to it. I completely agree with everything you said.:smile12:

Face? That's a face? This log reminds me of a moment from the Buratino cartoon where Geppetto holds an actual log in his hands at the very beginning; it's very similar, only much scarier.
Furthermore, the question arises: where do his arms even grow from? Why from his ears? And what's with those jacked-up little arms? He looks exactly like—in other words—a jacked-up idiot who lives by "the code" and didn't finish 9th grade. Those are the types who usually beg for cigarettes in apartment entrances at 3 AM...
Sorry if I went too far...

sorry if I'm wrong

A Dendroid should be a TREE, not a brick with arm-legs or an alien ball with tentacles...
Honestly, the Ents in The Lord of the Rings movie are the best...

And it's not an alien ball, it's roots, and the red eyes are to make everyone afraid, because it's the spirit of the forest and it should inspire fear, not laughter. Of course, it would be better if there were spriggans or Ents, as I described, so they could tear enemies in two. As for the Buratino from the beta, it's good, but not great. Comparing the Ents from the original and the beta, I can say that the ones from Heroes 3, or the Spriggan from TES III Bloodmoon, are better.
IMHO, this one is better than the original.

You're all discussing this... and that profile picture is from the beta!

It's hard to say... I only played the "original" versions, so I haven't seen the betas "in person," and a screenshot still doesn't quite capture it... But the originals are a bit strange, to be honest... Especially their "eyes"...
