I have the same Windows version. I didn't have any problems with the RMG because Moz posted a detailed guide on how to use the generator on his Twitch channel. But Twitch deleted all the old recordings, including Moz's.
In short, the most important thing is to specify the paths for the program to work.
First, the one right under the image, and the button is called Choose Target Map Directory (the folder where the program sends the generated maps): specify the path to the Maps folder, which is located where Heroes is installed.
Second, the one below the first, the button Choose Directory Of Templates (the folder with templates for generating a map on one of 8 templates randomly. An icon of a fan is to the left of the line.): specify the path to the data folder, which is located in the same place as Maps, then RMGTemp, Templates, huge. That's where you should have the eight large templates.
To generate a map on a specific template, the icon changes and depicts one map. The button is now called Choose Template File, and its path is the same in huge, and in the folder itself, select the desired template.
