Posts from Appeals Committee. Disputed situations in tournaments.
Basically, I'm too lazy to make quotes and stuff. But the gist is this: As you noticed, you don't fully understand the situation. You based your opinion on Lizard's statements (who, by the way, was a direct participant in the dispute but didn't express any negativity, unlike you – who was completely uninvolved). However, you allowed yourself to call me a "dirty player," dishonest, and a unscrupulous cheat (not all the words were quoted by you, but they emerge from the context), which, naturally, upset me. And notice, you're doing this not by saying that this is how the situation seems to you, but by stating it as an established fact. Even in more heated situations, people on this forum usually only allow themselves to do this if they are parties to the conflict, not just observers. Let me paint a picture. There was a banquet, there were guests, and as is usually the case, there was some overindulgence, an argument, and even some shouting in places, but overall, the feast was a success, and the satisfied guests left with full bellies and even lifted spirits. And when everyone had left the empty table, and they wanted to clear it, suddenly, that very guest (as he thought of himself) barged in, who, for sure, was missing. Because, "how could this be?", it was he who knew how the event should have been conducted properly, and, waving a gnawed bone (not by him, and this could also have been the reason for his dissatisfaction), he continued to threaten the kitchen staff (who didn't know what to do) and majestically repeat: "because I, I, and he, he..." Yes, I also want to add. I especially remember when Psaki was asked why Russian military exercises were a provocation, but American ones were not. She answered quite logically: well, it's obvious that the Russians are doing it provocatively, but there has never been anything provocative in our exercises. Apparently, you decided to do the same to me, using the same logic. Well, it was quite an experience, thank you. I don't want to rake up the past with Darkello (there was sex, but no orgasm), but the essence of the complaint there concerned not so much the subject of the dispute, but the parties involved, but that's not what we're talking about now. And if we remove the sarcasm, I would have allowed myself to be less malicious, and the rebuttal wouldn't have turned into (whatever you said it turned into, I didn't have time to catch it), if you had been part of the group, two - if you had added that this is your personal perception of the world (and I feel sorry for it), and three - if you had been less categorical, especially since you are an observer and especially if you are not completely sure and don't quite remember. Well, now there's a slight aftertaste, and for that, I can really apologize, for all the shouting in front of Lizard. I find it absolutely disgusting, as does Lizard, I'm sure, who, by the way, said the minimum and got straight to the point. It's a pity I'm not always so restrained.
Arguing is pointless anyway :) It's better to just move on.
"Это нам идеально подходит!" [Новосибирск, 2013] "Красавчик! Если только не читер.." [Киев, 2014] "Это Вам не шутки - нажрался Dust в маршрутке" [Новокузнецк, 2015] Сам ты фиш (с) :D
What I should really apologize for is the impression that I was claiming to have the ultimate truth. All the thoughts I express are solely my point of view, which I do not impose on anyone. If it looked like an attempt to prove to everyone that I am the only one who is right, then it is my fault that the thoughts were formulated incorrectly, and I apologize for that. And personally to you, and to all other participants in the discussion and viewers who had the same impression.
Regarding the other points, I remain with my opinion, and you remain with yours. I don't see the point in continuing the argument any further.

Here's a simple example from the recent one. Regarding the letter of the law...
Matches from "One for All": Bubuch: we agreed on a clock and a chess timer - no problems. Diabler: we agreed on a chess timer and still all-random (I was against it) - no problems. Lim4: we agreed on a chess timer and still all-random (I was against it) - no problems. Roger: we didn't agree on anything - we played according to the rules of the Sod's timer and all-random, the problem was the suspicion of a disconnect after 3 hours of play on TV, I thought there would be a lot of trouble, but it seems we sorted it out. Now, according to the letter of the law, I have every right not to play with Roger at all if the partners win.
And now, the cross... I played 3 games, no problems. The problem was with assigning ODD with Dima... We sorted it out to the point of me being excluded from the tournament. But according to the letter of the law, what is my fault? Only in the fact that I acted according to the letter of the law, and not according to the principles of fairness... I didn't ask for a tech pause, I asked to postpone it until November, so that Dima wouldn't be stuck in battles for 20 minutes in ODD, but would play adequately. But it wasn't me who started this mess.... In principle, in ODD, let him stay there for days (in battles), that's what ODD is for. Although, I don't know how AK calculates it... Judging by the latest statements, according to the letter of the law, i.e., according to the saves...
Added 28 minutes later In general, since the conversation has taken this turn, I will post it here too:
Vatya (00:03:42 6/10/2014) please request a screenshot of Roger's conversation with Dima
Vatya (00:05:39 6/10/2014) I have a strong feeling that the dialogue was something like: "Dima, for God's sake, where are you?" "Oh, damn... I'm in ODD, I'm running" "Well, you're here, and this idiot doesn't want to play, as you requested for 5 hours, kick him out" "In principle, yes, he's annoying me too..."

"Well, you arrived, but this idiot doesn't want to play; as you requested 5 hours ago, kick him out." "Basically yes, he's also annoying me..."
I keep trying to understand why you think that being 5 minutes late for an ODD is a valid reason to demand something. There was an ODD in the JestObserver - Liverpool game last season of the Crusade league. Just waited for an hour, after which a win was recorded.

I still can't understand whether you skim through things or I don't know what!
I AM NOT ASKING FOR ANYTHING!!! Is that clearer? There is a regulation: "no-show at ODD = win," and I don't need it. Although, according to the letter of the law, I could demand it. I just want the game to be finished, considering Dima's time constraints.
I still can't understand, either you're skimming through the text or I don't know what! I'm not asking for anything! Is that clearer? There's a rule: "not showing up for an ODD match = victory," I don't need that. Although, strictly speaking, I could demand it. I just want the match to be played, considering Dima's time constraints.

I assume that at your work (or school), you always got marked absent if you were 5 minutes late, right? ;)

I'm not asking for anything! Is that clearer? There's a rule that "not showing up for a match = defeat," but I don't need that. Although, technically, I could demand it. I just want the match to be completed, considering Dima's deadline. For those who aren't aware... and probably for the organizers too, since they don't seem to be aware... My request (or demand, if you prefer) is simply that the match with Dima be scheduled sometime in late November. According to your own rules, I'm not obligated to play with him before that. According to your own rules, I could even postpone this match indefinitely, but I informed you about a possible problem in November back in September.

So, why are you so fixated on the late arrival then?
For those on the armored train...
I AM NOT OBLIGATED TO FINISH PLAYING WITH ANYONE BEFORE THE MATCH!!! The organizers' decision contradicts their own rules.
Because they scheduled the replay for a date that doesn't work for me. And the host himself said he wouldn't be scheduling the replay...
The fact that you are unhappy with the replay date has nothing to do with your opponent being 5 minutes late. And the fact that you are unhappy with your opponent taking too long on their turn is also not related to them being late. So why did you make the lateness the main reason for refusing to play?
Roger DAltavilla writes "Based on a 4-minute delay, player Vatya demanded that he be awarded the victory and refused to finish the game."
