2nd Crusade

On September 11th, the player Vatya contacted me with a request to set a mandatory date for finishing the game with Dima_Surmay. There were suspicions that Dima_Surmay was deliberately delaying his turns, taking advantage of the classic timer. On the same day, I spoke with Dima_Surmay, and he told me which days and times would be convenient for him to finish the game. Vatya found it difficult to name a convenient time within the next month. I suggested postponing this issue for a few days, hoping that the emotions would subside and the game would be finished in a friendly atmosphere. On September 21st, Dima_Surmay reminded me that a date for finishing the game needed to be set and again named the days and times that were convenient for him. On the same day, I spoke with Vatya, and he again found it difficult to name the days and times that were convenient for him to play. As a result, I scheduled the game to be finished on September 27th at 6:00 PM Moscow time. Today, the player Vatya arrived for the game 15 minutes before the scheduled time, and the player Dima_Surmay arrived at 6:04 PM. Based on the 4-minute delay, the player Vatya demanded that he be awarded the victory and refused to finish the game. I, Roger DAltavilla, the tournament organizer of "The 2nd Crusade," considering all the circumstances, guided by the tournament rules and my own sense of fairness, have decided: To disqualify the participant Vatya from the tournament for unsportsmanlike conduct. The decision can be appealed to the Arbitration Committee.
