I would like to take a look into the future, perhaps 100-200 years from now... No one can say for sure what it will actually be like. People have always imagined it based on the present – embellishing it, adding fantastical details, and making predictions – just like we are doing now:smile42:
As for the pessimistic versions of the future, well, that is also a quite possible scenario, although not without its caveats (this refers to the end of life in 2013... by the way, in our country, in the 16th century, during the time of Ivan the Terrible, people quite realistically expected the End of the World and the Last Judgment...)):)
And I partially agree with Tengro – yes, technology is indeed developing very rapidly. Back in the 1950s, a highly respected American scientific journal made the fantastic prediction that computers by the end of the 20th century would weigh no more than 2 tons (!!!):smile07: – and now reality has surpassed even the wildest fantasies...:)
....Personally, I would like to see with my own eyes how people build a Space Elevator and land somewhere on Mars or Ganymede – it is quite possible that I will live to see that...:smile42:

That's absolutely true. And people are striving to reach their end as quickly as possible. No one thinks about the future anymore; everyone lives for immediate gain. And the thought that our children will inherit a devastated planet is unpleasant.

I recently read a report about an interesting genetic study. It claimed that humanity will undergo a major evolution in the future - due to the structure of chromosomes, men will disappear in about 200,000 generations:(- only women will remain...
On the other hand, if we consider the evolutionary theory, humans climbed down from the trees and have made a long journey of progress in roughly the same amount of time - so, there's still time to come up with something:smile21: ... and even if that happens

I read that by 2012, no more naturally blonde women will be born, because their gene is inherently weak and leads to extinction. There will only be fair-haired, brunette, and dark-haired women.

I wish the Apocalypse would come sooner, or at least a nuclear war...

Not really... or rather, I don't want to, but if an individual has a tendency towards creation, then humanity is a self-destructive structure... so let it hurry towards the inevitable, otherwise it's getting a bit boring...

Regarding the image in the first post: I agree, especially if you look closely at what's happening in the streets: it's dark, there's trash, cheap fast food places, New York, in short, it's still the same as it always was;)
