I had a rather curious dream. I am on a street in my city that I know very well. I'm standing near a barbershop that I've just exited (in reality, there is no barbershop there). I stand there for a bit, then start moving, but I find myself at the end of the street, though I was in the middle before. In the dream, naturally, I didn't pay attention to this and just headed toward home. I'm about to cross the road, bypassing a kiosk next to it (which doesn't exist there in reality), and people have gathered near the kiosk—not for goods, but for a funeral. In the kiosk window, instead of a seller, you can see a priest performing a funeral service. The coffin wasn't visible; it seemed the gathered people were blocking it. I went around the kiosk and crossed the road (in an unauthorized spot); while crossing, I had that feeling that often happens in dreams when you're running but can't seem to get away—essentially running in place—but I did manage to cross. I'm walking toward home (and all this time it was evening, dark, and the street was lit by lamps) and suddenly the light of the lamps disappears where I need to go. I look ahead and see the light of the last working lamp, and beyond that is impenetrable DARKNESS. I wouldn't say I was frozen by a terrifying fear, but on a scale of 10, I'd rate it a 6. There was nothing else to do, so I headed into the darkness, but I took only a couple of steps and stopped. A howling wind blew, the trees ahead, lit by the last lamp, began to shake, the foliage rustled, and a black cat ran across the road. I turned around and walked back toward the light. A father and his daughter, about six years old, passed by me toward the darkness; she seemed to be singing some little song. But I need to get home, and to do that, I must pass the dark section. The thought flashed through my mind to go to a friend's house, who lives not far from that street (just as in reality). And I probably would have done so, but the dream's scenery changed abruptly.
Now I am already at the funeral of my great-grandfather (who in reality died 12 years ago), moving the coffin with a relative. In the process, the relative jokes about how I'm friends with the mafia and it's better not to mess with me h))) (I'm not friends with anyone, lol). This is happening not at a cemetery, but in broad daylight at the beginning of that street. We are moving the coffin into a structure made of rebar with an arch, overgrown with plants. Inside are other relatives (I remember them all well, but there's no point in listing them). And the great-grandfather is (which is very funny, though it wasn't funny in the dream, of course) in a Wolverine costume! Yes, yes, in that very
yellow costume h)))))). But the costume is kind of strange. It looked as if it were sewn from foil. My grandmother says that I should get married only in this costume and no other (

), mother disagrees, saying it doesn't fit and I need a normal one. I say something about it being too small for me, and grandpa says we'll resew it, don't worry. Everyone starts standing behind the coffin to take a photo. And I start buttoning my shirt (under the shirt is a Slayer t-shirt, which I actually own in reality). Father starts saying, "Hurry up, everyone's waiting," I ignore him and keep buttoning. And so I've buttoned it, and everyone is standing behind the coffin waiting to be photographed by a photographer who isn't there. Then one of the relatives realizes that no one is photographing us and asks a family friend to do it (a specific person who exists in reality). And somewhere around there, I woke up. Now, LET'S DECODE MY DREAM ACCORDING TO FREUD! The street I was walking along is my life. The first funeral is the funeral of the present. The darkness ahead is the future, which I don't have x) or it's in darkness. I turn around and return to the light—a clear desire to return to the past. Then, the funeral of my great-grandfather in a costume unusual for funerals—the funeral of my past, obviously. All the relatives want to bury my past, and leave me a bad costume, and a resewn one at that. Resewn by them. Not only do they want to take away the past, but they also mock me by leaving a pathetic part remade as they see fit. There. Mr. Freud chews his cigar, takes a puff, shakes his head, and writes something in his notebook. Outside the window, crows are cawing (in reality).
