In the Wheel of Time book series, there were the Whitecloaks (as I mentioned before) – they are fanatics who can torture a suspect of being allied with the Dark One until they confess, and then they will kill him, thus cleansing the world of darkness... and much more.

Overall, it's an interesting story (about 10-12 "parts" in the series, and another one will be released soon – a continuation).
Like in The Lord of the Rings, there are 3 books, but here there are 12, and it seems like each one is divided into two books (if you buy the books). Otherwise, I had them on my computer =))).

Paladins were, are, and will be!

A Paladin is a state of mind. If a person believes that there is Good and Justice, and not just heard about it, and is ready to stand up for them, then he is a paladin, regardless of the cross on his armor or even the cross in his soul.
