Many years have passed since Biara mocked the Griffin Empire. Much has changed in that time.
Everything was quiet and peaceful; the demons remained in their prison as always, showing no intention of escaping. However, a new threat loomed over Ashan. A necromancer named Nedvit strongly disliked Arantir's policies and decided that he was incapable of ruling Erathia. While contemplating how to seize power in Erathia, Nedvit decides to enlist the services of a once-famous figure from the Griffin Empire, whom the empire itself had long forgotten. The necromancer sets out to find the tomb of Andrias, the former prince of the Griffin Empire. He finds it. Being a rather powerful necromancer, he manages to resurrect Andrias. Rising from his grave, the prince remembers his past. His mind is clouded, and he is consumed by a single desire: to avenge his murder, specifically against Isabel. Nedvit knows that the true murderer is Biara, but he keeps this to himself. He convinces Andrias not to rush into revenge but to help him seize power in Erathia, and the prince agrees.
Soon, Erathia was devastated, Arantir overthrown, and Nedvit became the supreme necromancer of Erathia. However, Andrias has no intention of stopping; he still wants to avenge his death, but this time, Nedvit fails to stop him.
Traveling through the Griffin Empire, Andrias spreads terror and destruction. No one can stop him. But King Godric of the empire (the son of Frida and Duncan, named after Frida's father, Godric) eventually finds the strength to halt the prince's deadly rampage. After telling Godric about whom he seeks in the Griffin Empire, Andrias heads to Irolen with a new, even stronger army (he went there because Godric said that Isabel was not in the empire, but Godric did not know that Andrias would go to Irolen).
At the border with Irolen, Andrias encounters the guards and tells them what he needs in the elven kingdom. Not believing him, the elves do not allow the lord of the dead to enter their lands. Later, they paid the price for their distrust. On his way to the capital of Irolen, Andrias meets Faidaen. Having experience in fighting beings like Andrias, he does not attack him but sits down for negotiations. From the prince's words, Faidaen learns that Godric sent him to Irolen. Believing the necromancer's false story, Faidaen allows him to continue his search, while harboring resentment towards Godric and the Griffin Empire.
Not finding Isabel in Irolen either, Andrias heads north, to the dwarves...
