Hmm. Listen, this is a really interesting question. Maybe it's related to the game files themselves? If you put them in the Games folder (which is located in the game's main folder).
Thanks, I'll check it out now.

I didn't know that traveling through a portal doesn't interrupt the process; that's really cool.
Too bad I didn't make it to the beginning of the show! ;) doktorpetrov, this map was completed by the best players from two websites: this one and HeroesPortal. The Walkthrough, including the most difficult moments and the toughest battles, is described in detail. There are daily saves that the tournament organizers and everyone else carefully studied and found that everything was done fairly. And you can trust the words of DirtyPlayer and Lider1. A quick completion of this map became possible thanks to the application of the latest methods of analysis and gaming techniques developed in recent years. Every newcomer, when first confronted with how today's pros play, experiences a great shock. :) Then the shock passes, and the realization comes that to improve your skills, you need to "learn, learn, and learn"! ;) Read more discussions on various topics on this forum - and many things will become clearer.
Added 6 minutes later I remember stumbling upon an angry letter on another forum, where the author claimed that the map "Podarok-2001" is impossible to complete, and there was a discussion of various approaches to completing it. Practice shows that (unless the author made some fatal mistake) any map can be completed! :) Although, unfortunately, this is not within everyone's power. :(

with such a program as ProspectorRT and the player's skill, everything falls into place I take back my words
Yes, and Prospektor isn't even necessary; everything can be found in the editor, and anything that isn't clear can be checked in the save file. People played and achieved excellent results even before Prospektor, but of course, you quickly get used to good things.
Well, in general, to complete such a map in such a time, you need to do a huge amount of work.
doktorpetrov, are you by any chance related to medstrax?
who is this?:smile32:

by the way, the "portal to the city" is included as an event on the map and is given before entering the Dragon Castle.

By the way, yes. I'd like to dispel the misconception that results were worse before Prospektor. Nothing like that; Prospektor has only existed for a few years, and many great players played all their Tournaments before Prospektor appeared (for example, Sir DIOS, Lady Pups, Sir LeverPunch, etc.). To understand what's going on, it's enough to play 1 Tournament and then compare the scale of your thoughts with, for example, Dmitry's. In one turn, the army often traveled across the map twice, back and forth. :smile13: By the way, I remember having to manually select the upgrade trees (since the Oracle was forbidden) and manually search in the external tavern because the hero digger couldn't do it.
So, it's not about Prospektor; it's all just stories.

by the way, how did he defeat Jhelu using the Crag hack? I've tried several times, but after 4-5 times the resistance triggers on my blindness spell, and I realize that I don't have enough mana. Also, there's no save from turn 37. 143-36, 143-38 Nothing changes there, except for Jhelu winning, but it's still interesting.

Here! Now the real questions are starting, not "where does the ship come from?". If I remember correctly, the trick is as follows: first, attack Jela with several heroes to steal mana and destroy the war machines. When only the snipers remain, Crag attacks. The snipers have 32 shots, so we need to wait until they run out, using the resurrection spell 32 times. When the snipers become infantry, they slow down and are shot down. Simple and effective. doktorpetrov

indeed, just won, took a while of course, even with RL
Well, what can you do. The main thing, by the way, is to have the Cloak of the Undead King equipped to get 20k skeletons as a bonus. But the battle with Gelu is the easiest of the key battles on this map.

uh-huh, the skeletons sell for 1260k, just enough for the angel upgrade, but as for the other battles, I was reading on the portal for half the night, it's just insane there
