Question: If the fifth installment takes place after the sixth, then why does no one in the fifth know anything about Rylai, or anything about the sixth?
The fifth installment was released much earlier than the sixth. In the meantime, the developers came up with a backstory (i.e., for the heroes of the sixth). And they wouldn't change anything in the fifth anyway. Besides, this knowledge would change the plot.

Not exactly. I'm creating a campaign for Heroes 4, with a focus on the storyline. I need everything to be consistent with the existing official information.
Do you know anything about the kingdoms of Mendossus and Framon? Besides the fact that a significant portion of Chedian's population does nothing but get robbed by them (according to M&M9).

If Talanaar already existed at that time, how did he manage to remain so well-preserved until the War of Isabel in 969? As far as I know, elves live for several centuries (300-400 years), and even if we assume that Talanaar lived longer than average, he should look like an old man, but judging by the image in the game, this is far from the case. Therefore, I have another question: do elves age at all, and if so, then again, explain the situation with Talanaar to me. Perhaps I miscalculated the average lifespan of elves?
2) What is the lifespan of such creatures as angels, demons, and Faceless Ones? I would also like to know about mages: do they live on average like all humans, or do they have ways to prolong their lives (excluding necromancy)?

PS. The answers are very important to me, as I am going to write a series of fan fiction stories about some of the heroes of Ashan and am trying to figure out all the small details of the universe.

They definitely age. Yes, he didn't grow a beard, but he still doesn't look young in the picture.

I don't know for sure, but I assume they are immortal.

I won't say. I haven't heard of long-lived mages. Except for Sar-Elam, of course.

I doubt they are immortal, especially considering the words from Sar-Elam's manuscript about necromancy, found by Belket: "For Asha is the goddess who created the world and gave it its name, and she is all the facets of the wheel of existence; a threefold entity of birth, life, and death...." But if they are indeed immortal, then such characters as Michael and the remaining Faceless Ones should still be alive, right?
These are too complex questions for this universe. Most likely, such things are not even considered.
It's a pity that they aren't considered, because this question interested me the most. :) It would also answer the question of whether angels and the Faceless Ones are immortal.

If we recall The Lord, we can at least say that the strongest of such creatures are extremely long-lived. And from there, it's not far to immortality...

Yes, if they haven't been killed. That's how I see it.
