In reality, this movement is much more complex than it might seem at first glance. There aren't actually that many Tolkiensists in the "pure sense" within the movement. Most military-historical reconstruction clubs—which is how they prefer to be called—are not so much studying the Creation of Professor J.R.R. Tolkien, but are directly reconstructing various historical periods of different peoples (daily life, culture, military training, etc.). There is also a division of clubs by orientation: those that focus their preparation on festivals or field simulation (games), or those engaged exclusively in reconstruction. But in principle, most clubs combine all of the above.
That's if you try to describe this phenomenon in a few words... :)
