ANNOUNCEMENT OF CIVILIZATION 5!!!
The rumors and speculations about the upcoming Civilization4: Warlords expansion haven't even died down yet, and at the beginning of the new year, which coincided with the beginning of April at Firaxis, Sid Meier and his team announced the continuation of the Civilization series - Civilization V.
Jeff Briggs has already shared some information with the civru.com website, and here's what he said in his press release: "Although we tried to make Civilization 4 as good as possible, we were informed that not all players liked it. Some complained about too few changes compared to the 3rd part, others about bugs and excessive slowdowns. Some hotheads even accused us of making money. Now it's time for a new product, a completely different game."
By the way, some screenshots are already available.
The new civilization will cover the period starting from the history of primitive man; first, you will have to learn (extract - editor's note) "fire" and build settlements in caves. Then you will have to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the ancient world, the Middle Ages, the new, modern, and post-modern eras. After discovering the "thermonuclear reactor," "super-powerful telescope," "planetary bases," and the 3rd upgrade of the spaceship, other planets will become available for colonization. The game doesn't end there: competition takes place on several planets simultaneously.
The game features a fully three-dimensional world, including the planet itself.
About 100 civilizations, including Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Georgia, Transnistria, Moldova, and several other unnamed civilizations (possibly alien - editor's note).
About 200 sciences, including "marine cities," "intergalactic teleporters," "mind control," "planetary consensus," "linguistic literacy," and "universal quorum."
Resources: Ural, Brent, and Light Sweet oil, with different prices.
New buildings and wonders of the world, such as: "Mausoleum (Lenin's Home - in the original)," the Eighth Wonder of the World, the World Trade Center, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, etc.
Units: Laser Archer, nanotank, blaster infantry, and quasigun.
