There have been many debates about the plot of Heroes of Might and Magic V. I searched all over the internet, but everywhere I found different descriptions of Ashan's history and the biographies of heroes and creatures. In the end, I came to the conclusion that the confusion in the plot began because of missing cutscenes. For example, the cutscene where Railagh confesses his feelings to Isabel, or the cutscene in the Stronghold campaign where Kha-Beleth scolds Biara for being distracted from his plan, or even the cutscene where Faidaen sends Ghalan to Zephyr. These are the reasons why inconsistencies arise. When I played the game for the first time, I played version 1.0, where the cutscenes cannot be rewatched, but now I have version 1.6, where I found "missing" cutscenes in the settings. I want to know if anyone else has seen this unfairly cut video. :smile27:

Wow, I played through the game and never even thought about this. I guess I should still install patch 1.6.

I was also very disappointed back then. I was happy, having completed the game twice in version 1.0, and then I found out that I had missed some of the main points of the game... It was frustrating, but I played it again to find out everything.

That's strange, I've never had that happen... You could try patching to version 3.1; the cutscenes don't disappear there. Why am I saying this? I happen to have patch 3.1 installed, so you can believe me. It also includes the main highlights.

and where are they? I also have patch 3.1, but there are only videos from the Tribes of the East. The rest are only available as you progress through the campaigns (but there's no video about Raileigh's recognition and Biara's scolding in the Tribes of the East, no matter how many times I play it ((( if anyone uploads videos with Russian voiceover/text, I would be very grateful!).

I think they are included in a special mod, in the campaign from the original game for the Stronghold faction (see the file archive).

I couldn't find it in the archive...
