Today, I played through the Tribes of the East campaign and didn't see Raileigh anywhere, even though at the end of the Hammers of Fate campaign, it was said that he would join the Orcs. As a result, Isabel appeared at the end, but Raileigh was nowhere to be found. He also won't appear in Heroes 6 because the events there take place 400 years before Heroes 5. Does anyone know where the developers put Raileigh?

In short: Railag became a Dragon Knight (like Tieru) and maintained a long-distance relationship with Isabel.

The Heroes 6 expansion (Shades of Darkness) tells about Railag's past, before he became Agrail.

Did Railag cheat on Isabel with shamans? No, I haven't heard that.

They weren't expecting the sixth installment of the series back then. There simply wasn't enough time, and that's the whole answer. They didn't even have time to create a fifth mission for Zehir – a true finale – and include it as an empty map in the editor.

What was supposed to be on this last, fifth map? How were Heroes 5 supposed to end?

Unknown. There's a Haven town and, it seems, scorched earth around it, and that's all. I don't know, though; I didn't look at the map description. Yes, it's empty anyway.

I thought he went to deal with Dark Messiah, and I believe this is very clearly mentioned in the campaign.

Regarding the topic, my opinion is that he became a dragon knight - that's a 100% fact, and it was definitely within his capabilities.
And the fact that he wouldn't want to abandon Isabel is also a fact; he fell for her, even though she's a blatant "total pain" (TP) to the 256th degree.
But what's unclear is who he left as his successor, and where his base is as a dragon knight? If it's the Iris Sea, that's old news; everyone's already hanging out there.
