There's a lot of stuff in the game that feels like "just for the sake of having it" (and even "it would have been better if it wasn't there"), but it exists. Out of what you mentioned, I sometimes use Camouflage. The rest just doesn't work, especially Unluck, it's the most useless skill, it never triggers no matter how many times you cast it.

Everything is relative, and if all spells were only beneficial, and you could just randomly select one and still get a positive effect, the game wouldn't be as interesting. You'd have to use Killer, maybe Luck, but only if there aren't any more useful spells available (or they've all already been cast). But usually, by the time you get to those spells, the battle is already over.
