It's not interesting to play on the computer. I think people stop playing Heroes 4 because the AI is very weak. This makes the game boring.

I keep playing just to level up, sometimes it takes a week of real time. You let the computer capture a castle, and you don't touch it for 3 months (in-game). Then you attack again, and so on until the game starts to lag. So that by the end, you have 3 heroes at level 50+)))
But what's the point of wasting time for no reason?
It would be great to have a permanent opponent to play against, but as it is, I play for fun, like in an RPG, exploring the map in detail, completing various quests, and so on.
And remember the cloak – it provides a 30% resistance to magic for the entire squad! And for creatures too! So, curses might not work, and combat spells won't deal 100% damage anymore! What's left? Summons and blessings! Not everyone has summons. So... Blessings!:D :cool:
2 Zdob And blessings can be removed or stolen (Haven has a spell for that). So, does that mean all magic is bad? P.S. You can also recall the Summoned creatures.
Conclusion: Barbarians rule without magic! :D And regarding summons, it's just old age getting to me! :D Well, again, during a simple level-up, it's just blessings, but when it's army versus army, it's... ARMAGEDDON!!! :D :cool:
A Barbarian as a lone hero. Only he benefits from his magic resistance, melee combat, ranged attack, and defense... But his army doesn't gain anything from it. In this case, even a Tactician would be better. At least he's useful for the army. And magic can protect even his own soldiers, and even more, it can help in various ways.
Sometimes it happens that a Barbarian is stronger than his army :) And then spells won't help:D :D
That's exactly what I'm talking about!!!:D If you have a Barbarian with a much higher level than the enemy heroes, why waste your army on simple warriors?:confused: You can save the army for the decisive battle, although the Barbarian might be able to handle it himself!:D He'll just do it faster with blessings! :D :cool:
I like dark magic (various curses), but summoning magic is also good. As for Chaos magic (direct damage), it's only good at the beginning when the armies are small, but later it becomes useless.

Even though I voted for summoning magic... aesthetically, I like various buffs (especially if they are area-of-effect and numerous). It's a shame there isn't an area-of-effect Dragon Strength or Giant Strength ability.
But there is a general snake attack (a general first strike and general luck). They are also beautiful and aesthetically pleasing both on the icon and when applied. What a beauty!
