Posts from RPG 2 – The demons are coming!!!

The chest began to swell... It filled the entire space... And She, not understanding anything herself, found herself on an island.... Gentle azure waves lapped against the sunny sand... The sun shone brightly, but gently, there was no heat... only a moist, fresh breeze gently played with your hair...
The sea playfully caressed your feet and beckoned you... into the boundless distance along a sunlit path... An overripe coconut, unable to contain its admiration, fell to the ground onto a stone next to your hand... and one of its juicy halves jumped right into your delicate fingers... enticing you with its coolness. And wanting to touch your lips...

So... this is more complicated than I thought. Stronghold...
On the other hand, there are no undead creatures around. Hmm... I don't think this is all a trap to eliminate me. I'm not that important a figure. Not yet, anyway. So, there's no particular reason to worry. Then again, who knows... I'll get closer... And the keychain is glowing just in time... Is it predicting an SMS? (:))

I take off my cloak, put aside my staff and bow, and my sandals follow... And in a short tunic, I plunge into the sea... the water has given me strength again - I am ready for any twists of fate!

A few days have passed... At first, I still knew when it was day and when it was night... but soon I found it unnecessary... I no longer cared whether it was day or night.... my "colleagues" were taken away one by one... some never returned... The strong ones remained... They brought in another one... but I don't care about him... he looks weak enough... But he was taken away too... He didn't return... So I sat and waited...

- Well, crypts are no joke. To be honest, we'll be lucky to get out of there alive. So what are we waiting for?

- "Well, I'm somewhere around here..." the mage replied hoarsely, and an echo reverberated through the cave..."

"Where are we? And where is Minos? And what are we going to do?"

- It seems you're late, warrior. The Necromancers have already captured her. We need to rescue the sorceress... In the Cursed Chapel (the Elf pointed to one of the buildings, clearly a place of danger and cold death), the Necromancer Raven is currently performing a ritual, and her (the sorceress's) soul... is blissfully unaware, enjoying the sunshine somewhere. You must interrupt the ceremony. Raven is the leader of the Necromancers of Mistrad, and besides, there are many Liches and Undead there, so it won't be easy. But you must somehow interrupt the ceremony! Get to the chapel and see what you can do; I'll be nearby and will help you if needed... Here, take this silver sword... It's a bit heavy, but at least vampires and other unholy creatures will die like flies ;) Keep the amulet around your neck; it will protect you with an Air Shield from arrows.

Something gentle touched your leg... You instinctively pulled away and, to your surprise, saw that a dolphin was beckoning you to play in the pink sea, illuminated by the pre-dawn sun... A school of fish playfully swam by, creating whimsical, colorful patterns in the water...

Before you were taken for another walk. A half-goblin, accompanied by two hulking Minotaur Guardians and a couple of Assassins, grabbed you and one of the Elves and led you to the lizard pasture.
- See that Lizard with the purple crest? That's the pack leader. And the rest... ;) Hehe, his females. The other male lizards are too jealous, so we separate them to ensure, uh, better results. The female lizards are very loyal to their current partner and are ready to tear apart anyone who approaches him.

You spend a few minutes in silence, watching the Lizard with the crest and his five girlfriends munching on mushrooms and some kind of moss in the pasture, about 500 meters away from you.
- Your task is simple... - the unpleasant voice of the dwarf suddenly broke the silence - get a male's tooth.
The Minotaurs roughly pushed you into the enclosure and slammed the gate shut. The pasture was a vast space (about 15 acres) littered with slippery mushrooms and some kind of moss (although the lizards clearly felt stable on it) and half a dozen natural stone columns. Not far away, six lizards were peacefully grazing... one of them with a bright crest, your target. Almost fifty sharp-eyed Assassins with drawn crossbows are watching you from different sides of the enclosure, so it's best not to do anything stupid and not try to escape... You have a rather dull iron knife at your belt. Nothing else.
The Elf immediately rushed towards the nearest column, silently approaching his target. He is now 300 steps away.

Smok, describe your actions and the Elf's actions.

I went berserk (but remained human) and grabbed a knife... I quickly caught up to the elf, but at the same time, I moved silently... I assessed the knife; it's dull, but I can inflict a serious, ragged wound with it... And if I hit hard enough, I can even pierce the scales... We were getting closer... The male was peacefully eating... I, and the elf too, slowly began to circle around the harem and its owner... So, we're on the other side... now the male is the closest lizard to us... I used my imagination and picked up a pebble and threw it towards the lizards, but in such a way as not to hit any of them... A noise was heard... The females didn't like that someone was disturbing them... And the male didn't care; he was probably just lazy... He probably just wanted to eat, rest, and then get down to business... I threw another one... The females perked up... The elf decided to repeat my tactic... But he threw it so that it hit a pillar, and the stone bounced off and hit a lizard... Several lizards (three or four) rushed towards the stones... Then, after throwing a few more stones, one or two more lizards left... Here's our target, without bodyguards... He turns his back to the pillar...I quickly took a couple of steps along the pillar, almost stumbled, and jumped onto the lizard's back, plunging the knife into its neck (So, I jump onto its back, grabbing its neck with one hand, and with the other, I strike downwards into the neck)... Strength and speed helped me pierce the scales with the knife... The lizard can't even squeak... It just swayed a little and collapsed... I jumped back, otherwise the lizard would have crushed me... I approach the mouth... I knock out a tooth... but the elf is also not sleeping and strikes me from behind... I fall... He snatches the tooth from me and runs away... I crawl to the lizard's body... The females, seeing their beloved dead, rushed at the killer (they mistook the fleeing elf for him)... They caught up with him and began to tear him apart... I knock out another tooth and climb onto the pillar... the elf is dead... It seems that now I should be released from the arena...

Well, well! So, it seems a bloodbath is inevitable! I guess I'll have to rely on my silver sword. I tried a few sword moves... Hmm. You can't really do much fancy footwork with this one. But at least it will keep anyone at bay!
I approached the chapel. A couple of skeletons were standing outside. They noticed me and attacked! The larger one ran straight at me, swinging its sword, while the other aimed its bow... I prepared for a fight, but then the second one fired. The amulet should help... The arrow ricocheted off the air shield and knocked the skull off the skeleton swordsman! The remaining body dropped its sword, and I finished it off in two strikes.
Hmm... If the guard outside is this weak, what will be inside...
Without hesitation, I climbed onto the nearest dead tree and from there onto the roof of the chapel. I slipped through a hole in the roof and hid on a beam under the ceiling. Down below...

- "It seems that the tunnel we were walking through was flooded, and we were swept down into some underground lake..." - the mage replied and swam towards Knight's voice...

The gate opens, and several Dark Elves (clearly riders) calm the lizards, which are fiercely attacking the poor elf.
- Good job - says a Fury, appearing from nowhere. - The High Priestess is pleased. You have proven that you are a good warrior. And you have earned the right to move freely around the city.
- You can buy some weapons or anything else. But I personally wouldn't advise you to try to escape... You can try, but I just wouldn't advise it ;)
The city will show you around. One of the Furies stepped forward. When you are ready for the final test, come to the Palace of the High Priestess. Lizia will show you where it is. She will also show you where you can stay until you are ready.

Down below, there was a whole host of undead of all kinds. Near the altar of the chapel stood some kind of sorceress. Her skin was pale, but she was clearly the only one still alive here. Opposite her stood a necromancer, and green streaks of magic constantly emanated from his hands, enveloping the Sorceress.
- There are about two hours left until the end of the ceremony, someone whispered from a nearby beam. You flinched, but seeing the elf, you calmed down.
- But in another half hour, her body will die... and the remaining time will be spent transforming her soul... So we don't have much time...
- My friends will help us. Now I will enchant you with all sorts of useful things that will make you much stronger and faster, and on the count of three, we will attack. What do you think?
You looked around; between the adjacent beams, some blue streams of air shimmered...
Even though the structure was quite dilapidated, the wind under the ceiling was clearly stronger than it should have been...
