Hello to everyone who had the strength, patience, and luck to reach this tournament, as well as all fans and spectators. I will not deviate from my idea of holding a tournament according to the classic FB-1 scheme.
Final Battle 7
I. Regulations and deadlines The qualifying tournament will be held in a round-robin system, with each player playing against every other player. Tournament start date: July 1, 2013. The tournament schedule will be comfortable but also strict. The tournament must be completed before December 29, 2013. However, there will be a series of deadlines, i.e., fixed dates by which each participant must have played a certain number of games; otherwise, the organizer has the right to exclude them from the tournament. 1) By August 31, 2013, 3 games must be played. 2) By October 31, 2013, 6 games must be played.
II. Rules and templates. 1. By default, games are played according to the Rules for online games in Heroes III and the seasonal Rating Tournament. 2. By default, the game version is SoD 3.2 (4.0); with mutual agreement, WT or any other HOMM3 version can be used. 3. A template is chosen in the standard way from 7 templates.
4. Castle selection. A new feature of the tournament. Each participant must play with all 9 castles. Before starting the tournament, each participant must inform the host (via ICQ) which castle they will use against whom.
1. All participants must tell me which castle and against which opponent they will play. 2. After I receive information from everyone, I will post it publicly in the form of a table; i.e., it will be visible who plays against whom and with which castles. 3. After that, you can start playing. Based on the castles, start choosing templates.
For example: Against player 5, I will play as Inferno; against player 7, I will play as Castle; against player 10, I will play as Dungeon, etc.
5. The tournament will be held in a round-robin system. You can play in any order. A victory gives 1 point, a draw gives 0.5 points, and a loss gives 0 points. The winner is determined by the number of points scored. In case of a tie, additional criteria apply. 1) Berger coefficient 2) Head-to-head record
III. Organizational issues 1. This is an official, regular tournament. 2. The tournament is conducted according to the Rules for organizing, conducting, and participating in tournaments. 3. Tournament host: Dirty_Player (ICQ 408722873). Tournament judges: Pit for LM (471401475) 4. For each played game, participants must submit a report and confirmation. 5. Saves from all games must be saved until the end of the tournament and presented upon request from the tournament hosts or any member of the AC. 6. If controversial moments arise, please discuss them outside the forum. To resolve this, contact the host or judge in ICQ and provide daily saves, ICQ logs, and other necessary information. The referee's decision is made primarily based on the rules of the tournament. If the situation that has arisen is not regulated by the rules, then the referees are guided by elementary logic and gaming ethics. 7. All games of the tournament go into the seasonal rating. Reports and confirmations are written in this topic and will be copied into the "Reports of online games and their confirmations" topic. I.e., there is no need to duplicate reports in the season ranking.
8. Participants who take 1st-3rd place will have the opportunity to play in the FB-8 tournament. At the end of the tournament, the winner will be awarded a Cup for their avatar:

It was meant ironically. Of course, there won't be any "weaklings" as such, but there will still be players who play at a higher or lower level than each other. And yes, "weakling" is not the right term; I mean a player who you are more likely to win against. And even with "stronger," you can also consider players who play at the same level or slightly higher, but this difference can be compensated for with a good start (castle), or else another flame war will start =D. P.S. Of course, there's no point in using a good castle against an opponent who is more likely to defeat you.

I don't think anyone here would believe that one faction will easily defeat another. The outcome also depends on the map layout and initial castle choice, not just that. Of course, skill plays a role, but these players have it.
The idea is great! What are you talking about? It still provides equal conditions, but it introduces a new element of strategy when choosing castles to counter your opponent. I would definitely enjoy playing with this setup.
