Well, I don't know, I'm just playing through the Campaigns on Recruit difficulty... I just wanted to ask the author if it's possible to drain mana from the Faceless One using the method described above, and also ask for advice on how to defeat the boss.

And also - which battles are you referring to? If you compare Recruit to Autoplay, then the difficult battles are the skirmish with the outpost, which can be overcome by finding the Tear, the battle with the humans in the city (yes, I agree), and the last two battles. As for the neutrals, they are all very nice guys).
Regarding the battles, I was referring only to the scripted battles, and I'm not talking about the armies, say, of knights, but about their achievements. And the outpost is easily taken due to mass confusion and slowing.
It's clear that I won the final battle - I shielded the archers with trees and used one surviving unicorn and simply used "Resurrection"... I just managed to complete the Walkthrough in 40 days, because after freeing the last druid, a 2-week timer starts, and there's no point in messing around with it.
I want to clarify the meaning of my comment once again: I can play at a level higher than Recruit. (I've even played on "Hero" difficulty). But I maintain that the map is simply impossible for a weak player - almost any of the knights on "Autoplay" (and "Autoplay" is precisely an indicator of a weak player) defeats almost the entire hero's army, making the victory a "Pyrrhic" one:rolleyes:
And from me - a huge thank you to the author for the map, which filled the gaming void for heroes in recent times for a couple of days!
