“It’s brutal,” Cerera remarked. “But at least it’s simple and straightforward.”
“We don’t have enough rifles for everyone,” one of the sailors said to Duff. Apparently, he was in charge of the supplies. “However, everyone has swords or knives.”
- Damn you all!!! What idiot equipped this expedition! They don't have any rifles, you see! And do you have brains in your empty heads?! Didn't you understand where you were going? How, may a dragon devour you all, were you going to retrieve the treasures of the Wild Ocean?!! Alright, bring all the rifles you can find. And more gunpowder! And hurry up, hurry up, no sleeping!
The people were frightened and gathered everything within two minutes, including gunpowder and rifles. A couple of people even came with bricks in their hands and knives in their mouths: apparently, they didn't have enough rifles, nor sabers, and it wasn't very impressive to come empty-handed... The rest were armed more or less: some had sabers, others had rifles with bags of gunpowder.
The speakers were well-concealed by the night fog, and if necessary, Cerera could bring in more. They landed silently on the shore. The orc village was a little further away.
During the operation, a noise was heard in the bushes, and someone ran out of them towards the village. Apparently, the Orcs are not as stupid as we thought...
The battle between the orcs and humans began, and the latter were losing: in just a minute, two of them had already fallen under the weight of orcish axes, while the orcs only had a few scratches (not counting the sentry who didn't make it to the camp, so he got it bad). The dense palisade was to blame for everything.
