Posts from Neutral creatures in Heroes of Might and Magic V.
Yes, the neutral creatures were a bit underwhelming. There weren't enough of them, and the strong ones (all elementals are level 4, death knights are level 5 – I don't understand why they were even introduced separately from the necromancers, and phoenixes are level 6).
It's best not to engage with them at the beginning of the game.
And I kept waiting for neutral orcs of level 2 or 3 to appear until the very end of the game. After all, they are mentioned in the lore! I naively thought that in the 6th campaign, we would be conquering orcs. :( :)
The neutral creatures seem poorly designed; their stats differ significantly from those of city units at the same level. In the add-on featuring dwarves, manticores have become excessively powerful – 120 hit points and 30-50 damage – which is an imbalance. My point is that the developers should avoid making neutral creatures stronger than city units of level 7! In Heroes 3, the later add-ons introduced creatures that surpassed city units in all characteristics. I didn't like this at all, and I immediately stopped playing the game. The result was that an experienced player who had built up their entire city, created a good army, leveled up to level 20, and acquired 50 spells would
The neutral creatures are essentially made up, but their stats differ significantly from those of city creatures of the same level. In the add-on about dwarves, manticores have gone completely crazy – they have 120 hit points and deal 30-50 damage – this is an imbalance in levels. I mean, we need to contact the developers so that they don't make neutral creatures stronger than city creatures of level 7! In Heroes 3, in the latest add-ons, they started making creatures that surpass city creatures in all characteristics. I didn't like this at all, and I immediately abandoned the game. It turned out that a pro, who built the entire city, created a good army, leveled up to level 20, and acquired 50 spells, dies in the very first battle at the hands of some novice, who has no spells or a built city, and all the gold was spent on some Godzillas with unbearable characteristics. Gentlemen, this is not right!!!  :(
Of course, it's not right!!! :smile38:    It's unfair, and the novice will say that this pro :smile18: !
Of course, it's not allowed!!! :smile38:    It's unfair, and a newbie will say that this player is a pro :smile18: !
Here's a tricky question for you...: where will your newbie get these megadragons... a newbie, that is, lol. And by the time he levels up enough to take a dwelling with megadragons, the pro will have amassed such an army that the Azure Dragons and Corpse Fiends will be completely wiped out!))))

Actually, I didn't see any neutral creatures in the add-on, only some kind of wolves that are strangely called yetis, and their skin in the picture is from a cloak artifact... and on the map, they generally look like peasants... well, the elementals look normal... I have no complaints about the water and air elementals... well, of course, instead of a fire elemental, there's some kind of vacuum cleaner, and the earth elemental is just incomprehensible... In the third game, the elementals were 100 times cooler. And the black knights, which were awesome in the same third part, were completely ruined... it's a sin. And I won't even mention the phoenixes, or I'll get banned for using inappropriate language.

Especially for those who hate Heroes 4: You are angry at Nival because of the models and worship Canningham. HERE'S THE THING: CANNINGHAM CREATED HEROES 4, THE MOST AWFUL PART OF THE SERIES!!!!!!
Alexandr GriffinHearth;69208Specifically for those who hate Heroes 4: You are angry at Nival because of the models and you idolize Kanengem. WELL, KANENGEM CREATED HEROES 4, THE MOST TRASHY PART OF THE SERIES!!!!!! Heroes 4 is hated by those who don't play Heroes at all, while the fourth one is simply less popular (only relatively) In terms of rating, I would place them like this: 1 Heroes 3 2 Heroes 5 3 Heroes 4 4 Heroes 2 5 Heroes 1 And that's based exclusively on the fact that Heroes 3 caused a sensation, and the rest follow in descending order (the newer - the more popular).
But that's not what we're talking about. We're talking about neutrals.
The Phoenix is a powerful thing, but the others are just... ugh...
Those who don't play Heroes at all hate Heroes 4, but it's simply less popular (relatively speaking). I would rank them like this: 1. Heroes 3 2. Heroes 5 3. Heroes 4 4. Heroes 2 5. Heroes 1 And that's solely based on the fact that Heroes 3 was a huge hit, and the rest follow in descending order (the newer, the more popular).
But we're not talking about that. We're talking about neutral creatures.
Phoenix is a strong unit, but the rest are...
That's not true... I started playing Heroes with the first game, and the fourth part just drove me crazy... it's, in my opinion, a complete mess. And the fifth one, in my opinion, is better than the third... at least there's a plot.
And the neutral creatures are very strong. The Earth Elemental is quite something... it has amazing stats and a constant attack, you can't take it down with just cannon fodder. And the Water Elemental is strong too. I don't remember the rest... And the Dark Knight is decent, although its appearance... well...

Enough with the off-topic chatter! This is a thread about neutral creatures, not about which hero parts you like the most.
Now, about the neutrals:
I really liked the Wolves – they have a unique ability!
Manticoras are also not bad, but they are too ugly; they need to improve their appearance.
Also, they should add Yetis in future patches (they look like wolves, but with better stats).
